Raiden's alternate is probably going to be MGS2 raiden with Olga's high frequency blade (assuming it's any different than the MGS4/MGR blade).
If Snake doesn't show up because of SSBB, that would be the most pointless reason I've heard yet. I don't think they would pass up the amount of hype that would follow Snake if he were to be in the game. It seems common knowledge that in spite of how much of a tough guy ninja they made out of Raiden, the difference in popularity between Snake and Raiden still seems like night and day.
And for a game like this, popularity should be one of the main factors in choosing the roster. Unless there is some kind of legal situation with SSBB, Snake will most definitely be in the game.

Sir Daniel...the first PS1 retro announcement (not really counting Parappa since he's probably a starter...given that we knew about him since the beginning). It's only a matter of time before Spyro and Crash turn up.
Snake is probably going to be saved for last or almost last.

Never did play Soul Reaver...but I always thought Raziel was one of the most interesting characters I knew about at the time. I wouldn't mind seeing him in PSASBR as well.

So i'm guessing the Tokyo Game Show will reveal atleast 2 character's, Snake and Cloud(or main character from FFX, or Lightning) hopefully more.

Well, the leaks a while ago had ALL of these characters that have been recently announced formally. If that's any consolation, Crash was also included. Don't remember seeing Spyro however. Might have been there.
Regardless, I'm happy that Sir Dan made it in. Always loved the first MediEvil, bought it on PSN some time ago and suffered from major nostalgia.__________
