If Superbot really wants to make this a hit, all they have to do is add Cloud, Crash, Spyro and Snake. That alone will sell the game. Problem is, if they don't, they're gonna get flamed the hell out of it.

Agreed. They have to be the most requested character. I seen all of them on the wish list but yet they haven't shown up which makes me wonder. I figure if you put them in the last minute then everyone will be excited and won't forgot about the game. If you put them in too early then people could possibly could forget about the game in the upcoming months. Most likely it's the anticipation factor though.

All they had to do was replace Big Daddy and Evil Cole with some more iconic PlayStation characters. There is no excuse for leaving out Crash Bandicoot and Cloud Strife - both of which pretty much defined the PS1.

If you're disappointed with the twenty characters revealed thus far for PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, we're sorry to report that you won't have more to look forward to for launch.

PlayStation social media manager Sid Shuman tweeted earlier today that all of the characters playable for launch have been revealed. When responding to a fan asking if more than 20 characters would be included, Shuman replied, "We have revealed the full launch lineup of characters". This news casts a dark cloud over fans eager to see the inclusion of Crash Bandicoot, Spyro the Dragon, and a myriad of potential Final Fantasy candidates.

Here's the full list of characters playable at launch. Any inclusions you lament? What characters are sorely missing? Are you happy with the list? Let us know in the comments below.

Not getting this until the GOTY edition releases with all the addidtional DLC chars. Raiden instead of Snake is just insulting.

Maybe there will be unlockable characters and they are just revealing those that will be selectable day 1...lol

Not to sound spoiled, but this is really disheartening. No Crash? Spyro? Cloud? I would have expected at least one of those three. I guess I'll be picking up Hitman in November instead.

First of all, why would you give two different character slots for Cole MacGrath as opposed to making the other side an alternative costume?

If they wanted to incorporate his good and evil movies, just do so with different finishers or something..

And yeah... I won't buy this now. Not enough characters and too much filler. Dante and Raiden - not exclusives and used just to promote their upcoming games.

A Sony fighter with all their major characters.

I figure the more support it gets, the more likely we'll get the pipe-dream adds later.

I only dislike two of the adds anyway (nu-Dante and Big Shitty)

I've mentioned before that Dante, Raiden and Big Daddy could have easily been used for DLC but that's clearly not the case. Ghost-Rhayne is also correct in that Solid Snake is far more iconic of a character.

I agree....From what we've heard about. The gameplay I've lost most interest I had in this game.

I admit, some of the character choices and the news of all that we've seen being final (besides dlc), has left my hype quite deflated, but I still appreciate the concept.
