Heavenly Sword 2 concept art

Heavenly Sword 2 isn’t going to come out, but Sony was developing a sequel in their Cambridge studio. The enemies in the Heavenly Sword 2 were the Ravens and the Raven King (top right) had a samurai motif. He was a major enemy in Heavenly Sword 2. Other Raven squad members had armor designed to look like an insect’s shell. The Ravens were described as vain and evil.

The twins were comic relief in Heavenly Sword 2. These characters are chained together and often bicker since they have different personalities.

Heavenly Sword 2 had a desert race that traveled by caravan. Artwork below shows the caravan setting up and one of the game’s storyboards.

I honestly enjoyed the first. Was waiting for a sequel..is the title confirmed? Or just an afterthought?...srry couldn't tell from the article.

Indeed the game released at a bad time, it deserved a sequel and the limelight but never got it

Plenty of people wanted more Heavenly Sword. I wish Ninja Theory had developed it into a series like Naughty Dog was able to do with Uncharted. The jump between Uncharted 1 and 2 was pretty big. I could imagine something similar with Heavenly Sword.

I recently bought enslaved for cheap though and I'll play through it. I might get DMC (I have never played a Devil May Cry game) if it turns out well, it's looking great so far. Ninja Theory is a great company that makes great games that don't get a lot of attention. Props to them for trying to be different (as in not making generic shooters or milking a franchise).
