The Xperia S, I'm rockin that with ya mate with its highest ppi on mobile display, it may not be a quad-core but it rocks everything else and its dam right sexy in person
And I agree, the SGIII has overshadowed many great phones even our own and the only thing it holds is a quad-core processor that HTC had too

I don't get it. That's the natural evolution of all products. Once something new comes out, people take that and put their own spin on it. That's essentially how people innovate, you can't expect everyone to put out something completely different.
I chose iPhone for a reason...I knew what Samsung offered and it wasn't what I wanted.
It's the same thing with the Wii Remote and Move. That's how it happens...I'm sure the Wii Remote was likely inspired by something else before it (even if not in the market).
The Walkman inspired a lot of manufacturers out there, i.e.

I will buy apple products over samsung any day. I do agree when something great comes out people always copy it but they have to understand not to copy and paste the product. Taking a couple of things away from the other product is alright imo but you have to put your touch do it so it can be your own.

Demonstration video made by engineers at Xerox in the early 1990's, demonstrating a conceptual system for tangible interface. Essentially, humans interact with a computer using an ordinary physical desk and just using their fingers. Even though the video is slightly dated in some fashions, the spreadsheet demo is still quite amazing. Original concept by Pierre Wellner. Xerox research department was so amazing, created the GUI, networking (to an extent) along with one of the first touch UIs. It sucks their board was so trash.

These websites only copy each others' distribution methods. You cannot sue them for that. Otherwise, there would only be one supermarket, one shoe store, one petrol station, etc.
The difference here lies in the fact that phones are made of physical parts. I don't know of any patent over a distribution model but I do know that there are tons of patents for physical products.Last edited by Wrath; 08-25-2012 at 22:24.

Apple Awarded $1.049 Billion In Damages by Samsung
You can't patent a distribution method however u can patent components of a piece of hardware.

I am not sure how this verdict ends up standing. There are just too many problems with this jury coming out now in some of these interviews.
http://www.groklaw.net/article.php?s...12082510525390
I would like to say judge Lucy Koh would toss it out base on all of the problems with the jury, but I am not positive she is completely unbiased(has past links with Apple and some of her decisions during the case). It should at least be overturned/reduced on appeals.Last edited by Ryunosuke; 08-26-2012 at 00:21.
