Apparently he wants to be a real actor....just do a damn movie with Leonardo DeCaprio or Tom hanks and u'll get the same credit no need for a sex scene that's gonna be 2 mins of the whole movie....smh lol

They probably don't want to hire him.

That's why I call bullshit on the whole vow to do indie movies. To me it sounds more like "I want to do more serious roles but I can't get a job for a movie that doesn't suck."

And this whole real sex thing is likely a publicity stunt to get his name out there like "Hey look at me, award winning directors, I'm committed enough, I'm willing to do whatever you want me to do."

However it all comes off eccentrically douchey.

He's one of those actors who play themselves in movies more than they do their characters. Every time I see a Shia movie (TF, iRobot, Indy 4, Eagle Eye, etc.), it's Shia LeBouf as Shia LeBouf. It places actors into a box...and he probably wants to break out by opening himself up towards pushing his boundaries. I think that's what he's getting at when he was responding to the "real sex" question.

I say more power to him. He shouldn't let saving his image get to his head, though (though it seems too late for that), so that he understands how to make the right ventures. Not every acting decision is for the best JUST because it's a bold one.
