Microsoft has announced that massively multiplayer fantasy brawler Happy Wars will be a free-to-play game. Log and I had a chinwag about free-to-play on Xbox 360 only this week. Coincidence?
Happy Wars lets up to 30 players duke it out (happily), and features three classes, castle destruction and magic spells. It's out this autumn. There's no news yet as to how the game will pay for itself - ad support seems likely, following the example of last year's Doritos games.
The developer is Japanese studio ToyLogic. Trailer below.
