Yeah, I know Yoshifusa Hayama and Fumito Ueda also left Sony but Ueda is supposedly still committed to completing the project. I just don't think Team Ico, as a division of SCE Japan, is going to last.

We'll see if they have anything planned for TGS.

Oh thats a bit harsh, GT5 took longer to develop than this..well so far....

All I can say is, looking back at Sony E3 2009 Press conference...Sony clearly didnt have a whole hell of a lot to show us, so they padded it.

I mean this and the agent are now famous no shows from that err show.

Games are like woman, what you might find attractive I might not, and none of us know if we really like them untill we have played around with them for a while.

It took longer to develop but you didn't have a lot of key members leaving Polyphony Digital. Team Ico, on the other hand...

EDIT: Ah, nevermind. I didn't see who you were replying to.

However, we haven't seen it in action since TGS 2010 and we know it was because they ran into some technical issues.
Not at all. The Last Guardian has been in development for at least six years now, if not, approaching seven. Considering that Duke Nukem Forever took about ten years until it was finally released, my comparison is becoming more and more accurate.

Actually, as of January 1st 2012, (accounting for a two month vacation and holiday season) The Last Guardian's development time is equal to and now, greater than GT5. The Last Guardian, at this rate, is vaporware.

How so? TLG was first "unveiled" as project Trico May 2009 thats just over 3 years ago.

GT5 was "unveiled" as Vision Gran Tursimo in 2005, it took over 5 years to come to market.

It wont reach GT5 status until sometime in 2014.

Even considering pre-produciton work, you might be lucky to suggest it started production earley 2008

Do you really think that 2009 was when it first started development? I don't think so. Chances are, they started development about two months after SoTC came out which would put it as mid December 2005 or even January 2006.

Swings both ways though, if that is the case then GT5 started work a couple of months before GT4 came out

Which would put it in 2004

    Not quite the song.

This song is old, real old. It's called "On that midnight train to Georgia". I guess I'm the only motown person on the forums.
