    OMG.

So many cool changes. One of which is not having the constant 'Please wait' or 'Connecting to Playstation network' every time you go back into Friends list or PS Store for example. Fuck, that got on my nerves and thought it'd be something we'd have to get used to lol. That ALONE makes this one of the best updates evah

Browser seems a tad better. Nice changes made there

The OS seems a bit snappier/responsive to me and the notification pop-up for friends/trophys is much better now. It used to be quite intrusive before but now it's the perfect size. The notification tab itself now uses the whole width of the screen and looks much better

Near changes are pretty cool as well, like game-goods automatic download. The app seems to run a lot better as well, used to be slightly laggy before

You get a notification if someone likes or leaves a message on your activity.

PSP/Minis emulator changes are also cool. You can use the touchscreen to assign buttons and you can map the right stick to L and R - which means games like Daxter and Persona(?) are more enjoyable on the Vita. You can also assign the right stick to only d-pad LEFT and RIGHT, rather than left right up and down - good change for Monster Hunter

Since I only have one account and the memory card switching format thingy doesn't bother me, this update is amazing. Sony have surprised me .

Hold down the screen for a couple seconds and menu should pop up. Go into other settings or something, and you'll have a few options. Zoom, full screen, stretch, original - or something

PS1 games look amazing on the Vita, especially the Crash games. The colours really pop out on it.

Just come across a handy little feature

The last few days I've been Black Market trading in Uncharted Golden Abyss through the Near.

Ater just receiving a trade and downloading the 'game good' the Vita asked me if it wanted to automatically download any game good associated with that game. Very handy and will save me time while trading the game goods.
Also just did it for Super star dust, received a sound track as a game good and got asked the same thing, auto download all game goods for this game. Fantastic

The Vita home screen area feels alot slicker, the smaller notifications are easier on the eye and the update to near is spot on too. As well as the PSone support I'm very pleased with all the other little extras too

The one game that I was looking forward to ( in the U.S. ) was Final Fantasy V, and it's not supported. I guess I'll just have to keep playing it on the PS3.. Dang it.

Why would you zoom in on the game and actually lose picture information or even worse, distort the picture?

Some games in the UK never got a proper conversion to there 60hrtz US versions and was missing the additional pixels offered by Pal and was released with black boarders, for instance resident evil has boarders, but we have the US imports instead but Final fantasy is the European version so its has boarders
Zoom will remove them in a sense

I would check your download history via the PSN. If it's still on the list, go ahead and delete your game from the PS3. Re-download it. Do not install it on the PS3. Transfer it to the PS Vita via the Content Manager, and see if it'll install. Now, if it's on a list of "already tried, shit don't work", then forget this post lol.

gusgus - Definitely try this but you shouldn't have to delete the game from the PS3 first. At least I didn't when I re-downloaded FF7 to my PS3 so I could transfer it to the Vita.

Ahh, I didn't know whether it would let you download it if it was already installed. If it does, then you saved me some time and effort lol.

Yeah I'm playing FF7 on 'full screen' mode. 4:3/original is way too small for me and normal looks weird

Which is why I buy all the US versions of PS1 and PS2 Classics, 60Hz, no borders and a proper digital manual.

For sure, that's a good thing to be able to do also.
