David Hayter. Even Otacon's dad was voiced by Christopher Randolph in Peace Walker. I think Doyle did a great job at the end of MGS4, but I don't think we will see both Big Boss and adult Solid Snake in the same room in ground zeroes. So no need to worry about the same voice issue.

David Hayter IS Snake regardless if it is Big Boss or Solid. The only reason Richard Doyle did it in MGS4 was because they couldn't really have David Hayter talking to David Hayter.

If you play as Big Boss then it should be David Hayter. If for example, they remade the original Metal Gear, then Hayter would voice Solid Snake and Doyle would voice Big Boss.

Indeed! There was a gamespot reaction article to the trailer when it was shown on the 25th anniversary that kept going on about "we're not sure if it's solid snake or big boss or someone brand new" bla bla. It's so obvious -_-

What I hate is this game is far from being complete, and I am beyond hyped for it. I honestly can't remember how many years back I have to go to remember how it feels to be this hyped for a game. It already looks like a fucking masterpiece. The vibe, design, Big Boss...my god I can't wait to play the damn game.

At least it is likely to take far less time than MGS4, considering that this is multiplatform and somewhat less pressure on Kojima for the game not being the next numbered title (MGS5).

People were suspicious of a sentence being displayed backwards on an ad that featured that picture...so it MUST'VE meant the picture is mirrored, therefore the eyepatch is on the other eye, therefore not Big Boss!!!!

Thankfully, the demo cleared that up.

As much as I love Snake, Big Boss is a much more interesting character, and I'm glad they're delving deeper into his story.

Big Boss & Solid Snake are not the same, like BB said to Snake, he never saw him as a son or a clone, but a soldier and one that he respect
And he knew that Snake wouldn't have made the mistakes he did, thou one of the problems we do have is BB story has been told better(in the Solid games( while we only have the 8 bit games to go by for Snake) big shame, Solid Snake has really been set aside for Big Boss's story and I totally fine with MGS4 being the last in the Timeline, just as long as we get more Solid Snake
Thou Big Boss is a bad ass characte but Solid Snake was born into the mess he had nothing to do with and had to clean up everything
The patriots & the clones, even thou he was one
I see people say Big Boss was tortured more was put through a lot, but he wasn't
The part in MGS4 when Naomi see Snake without his suit, see wasn't just crying because he was old, like drebin said "hell I'd even say you're War itself"
I like both, they are kinda similar, but I think Solid is the hardened Soldier, well he had to be
And theres a lot more to him, MGS1 was the only game that really touch on his character and MG & MG2 desperately need remaking for that reason.
And I hope he does it before I'm Old TGO

I still believe that MGS5 will take place around the time of Metal Gear 1 and 2 and maybe we'll get to see things from Snake and Big Boss's perspective. That could be one big epic game.

Also I would definitely buy a MGS game focused around The Boss made by Kojima. That would also be amazing.

I've been thinking about this"open world" thing
Because now you can drive jeeps, I wonder if bikes,tanks, helicopters etc are included?
The fact you can jump in a jeep and escape is amazing for a MGS game, but does the same apply for enemy's
Would going into alert phase make squads turn up in jeeps, etc

Kojima will probably cook up some crazy stuff in terms of alert phase in an open world situation. Maybe helicopters join in the patrol? Maybe some kind of threat meter? One can speculate.

Hey I would love to see what the FOX engine can do with Snake hiding in the wood, jungle with a helicopter & guards with a search light looking for you.
