And this is why I love Kojima. Look at all these conspiracies, idea of WTF that trailer really means, gaf breaking down all the frames, etc. I do find it odd that Kojima would go this far to announce MGS5 is being made, when we don't have that much about GZ.

I think Kojima is just fucking with all of us, I think they are the same game and I think that this is just a part of the game. Maybe it's some epic boss sequence with Mantis and you're tripping balls the whole time. Just seems odd to dump all this press onto a potentially new MGS game without fully producing and releasing the current MGS game.

The only problem I have is the hook arm, Big Boss doesn't have a hook, unless this is the first Clone.....I'm confused none of it makes sense buy its definitely Metal Gear

The hook arm is probably just him tripping balls. I don't think he really lost his arm, just like the giant whale, Volgin on fire was probably his imagination, too. The whole sequence seems like an area where Big Boss is going insane. Reminds me of the vibe during the Sorrow fight, seeing Boss trek the river of all the people he killed.

Yes this is definitely next years problem. So many amazing games coming out next year plus possibly new consoles from Sony and Microsoft make next year insane and many games may just get passed by. Its sad but thats what happens when you have too much greatness to choose from.

Well of course the fans will play it but im talking about the fence sitters that have too much greatness coming next year and not alot of money to spend. I personally have a weird relationship with MGS games. I hate how they play but i love to watch others play it and enjoy the story.

Yeah I what ya mean, it was the same with God Of War 2
People opted out for titles like R6V but the fans bought it
But despite the great titles coming out we all know which title will stand the test of time
What I mean is we will still be going on about MGS:TPP years later while the other games will be known as "good for their time"
I actually think TLOU and Beyond will be well talked about games after this gen ends too
Just like SOTC, GOW2 & Indigo Prophecy/Fahrenheit
But I know people will jump on the hype of other titles that'll be not as rememberble.

Well the one good thing about it is there is always a drought of games when a new gen of consoles starts so while people wait for next gen games they can catch up on all the great stuff we are getting next year.

Apparently the developers of "Phantom Pain" are Moby Dick Studio, which is a Swedish developer. This leads me to think that it can't be MGS5. Shouldn't it be Kojima Productions if it's an MGS game?

Also, this looks more like a thriller genre. Maybe even a mix of some psychological.

What do you guys think ?
