I had heard rumors that this was going to be for PS3. Oh I hope it's true. The latest interview Kojima did say that he doesn't like to do more than 3 games per console generation, or something like that. I'm paraphrasing of course, but I hope the PS3 gets one last Metal Gear game before next gen. If you count Metal Gear rising, you got MGS4, and MGR. PSP got MGPeace Walker, and I don't really count the HD collection. So far PSVita doesnt have any MG games. Could this be for the Vita? I don't currently own a Vita but I thought there was something like synching your Vita with your ps3 and if they could get it to be a vita game but you could use your Vita to play the same game off your console that would be awsome and really no different than what wiiu is doing but PS does it cooler. I'm a total MG nerd.

Well, this is definitely not gonna be for Vita since the graphics are too complex for that.

Metal Gear Solid - New Photos of the 25th Anniversary Metal Gear Rex

Check out some new photos of the MG 25th Anniversary Metal Gear Rex taken at KotobukiyaMuseum in Akihabara Japan. Some of the Rex models have featured in the latest issue ofDengeki Hobby Magazine. The Rex model has been released in Japan, price ¥8,190 or $95 US.

I prefer the previous sound design. The background music reflected the horror and confusion of the events taking place much more accurately, and not hearing the screams and gunshots made it more gripping and real, as if you're Snake himself being too hopelessly dazed to hear or bring enough attention to the chaos that surrounds him (kind of like when they cut the ambiance when a flash grenade goes off in front of you in a FPS).

Long story short, I didn't get much out of this (unless he threw another easter egg in the music somehow). However, thanks for sharing!

I still don't understand how stupid could studios be to tease a game with beautiful graphics by showing us the game running on a high end pc, and when it hits retail turns out it's only available for consoles and doesn't look half as good.

I actually prefer this one, apart from the music that kicks in at the two-minute mark.

So from the atmosphere of this trailer it seems that this game may have some horror/survival feel to it.
I would like that. Something new for the series. I'm not necessarily talking about horror/survival game mechanics but rather the atmosphere.
However, let's not forget this is Kojima and the finished product may have absolutely no relation to the debut trailers!

If this is MGS5/v - then I hope it's a sequel and not a prequel.

Don't mind if Solid Snake sin't in it (though clearly looks like some sort of Snake is involved).

It is quite clearly Big Boss aka Naked Snake. So it probably takes place somewhere between Peace Walker and MG1 (not MGS1).

It's looking that way. I mean, if you look at what it appears to be a huge whale eating a helicopter. Yeah, only in dream can that actually happen. And the whole arm missing thing with snake, doesn't add up. It has to be a dream. Also there's hints in the trailer telling him to wake up and if it really is a dream. Kojima finds ways to really blow people's minds away.
