Even with those long cut scenes, I enjoyed MGS4 and I'm looking forward to this one.

This is going to be open world, and have you played Peace Walker? I'm betting there will be shit tons of gameplay here and it will have a ton of re-playability. I'm sure we'll be able to revisit and re-infiltrate any location we want when ever we want.

Nobody seems to have mentioned this... The Official title doesn't currently have a "5" in it. I know peace walker and portable ops are considered as part of the story/ timeline but this will be the first console MGS not to have a number...

Thoughts on this guys? Kojima lacking in confidence when trying to fit this one into his saga? Will MGS:GZ just be a spin-off title? Is this one rolling a little too far from the tree?

If this is from MGS:GZ then it is Big Boss (MSF logo on sneaking suit), also, you can see his eye patch strap.

Sam Fisher is a poor mans Snake. I wonder if this is the title that Kojima said would have elements of Deus Ex: HR regarding dialog options etc.

I like Sam's character more than Snakes, but I love them both! I love being able to enjoy and play both experiences.

lol Snake and Big Boss have taken on many robotic weapons of death as well as a whole host of supernatural enemies, those that command lightning, bees, are immortal, can't be hit by bullets etc etc. Fisher only ever took on normal men. Plus, he is dry and boring as a character. Snake is more badass, and oozes class. Hehe Having said that, Sam had some cool moves...Loved doing the splits in narrow hallways and snapping guys necks from a hanging position.

If so that's fucking awesome, plays as Big Boss and then switch over to a whole new invisioning of MG and fight Big Boss as Solid Snake!

Peace Walker is mindblowingly good. The story gets better and better as you go through. Though I played it shortly after it came out, I can't really remember anything I disliked about the game

Yeah, the split-screen Raiden/Vamp cutscene you mention while battling those gekkos was distracting. My favorite Metal Gear Solid title is still the first one, in part because it seemed to have a better balance of gameplay and cutscenes, compared to its subsequent sequels.

However, this is a thread about the latest entry in the Metal Gear Solid series so let's get back to talking about Ground Zeroes.

I loved this to be a split game, like MGS2 & 3
First section is Big Boss then the game jumps to Solid & Liquids mission going up against Big Boss, this is where Liquid turns
The more I think about it the I want it to happen
