Could we be moving through time in the game?

I don't mean time travel, I mean switching between Big Boss and Solid Snake at different times.

    Huh?

Splinter Cell Conviction was pretty good.

Agree, working my way through them, they are most definatley different games.

I've always like the idea of a realtime battle field that you could influence through espionage.

I keep thinking of old games like Gunship, where you got given misisons to do on a standard open battlefield. Success of the misison changed some aspects of the map.

Also, does anyone think this will not be mulitplatform, I just cant see them not doing it on everythign they can.
    That's a pretty good idea.

Like if you want to run around sabotaging armies' supplies then soldiers are then less aggressive in terms of just spraying and praying on you; or that their numbers or equipment (ability to take you down) is impinged because of your grinding.

Yeah - this'll be multiplat - timed exclusive/DLC/whatevs at best.

I think we gonna play as Big Boss & see Big Boss & Zero kick off which in turn brings Solid Snake into the picture
I know Kojima is gonna hide it and we'll all find out after 6 hours when we hear Campbell voice telling us we must take down Big Boss or something lol

Oh see what your saying now, maybe 2 seperate parts? One set in 70's/80's (Big Boss) other set in 90/00's (Snake)?
    I guess zeroes is plural.

Exactly, and ground zero is a nuclear detonation term thou it can refer to Major Zero too

It could also mean gray fox who had the codename Null.

If it is two parts I can see first part being big boss vs major zero, then second part will be snake vs gray fox as Null= Zero

I need a trailer, and could this be an equal to MGS5? thought it'd be Old Snake and getting to see how it ends.

While I'm very excited for another true Metal Gear Solid, I can't help but take a gander at "open world".

That is the only negative I see. The reports are that the game looks gorgeous but it is running on PC.

Welp, if anyone can pull off great graphics on an open world then it would be Kojima.

I will still stay reserved until I see some actual PS3 footage.

Snake lives the rest of his life as a civilian chilling out and having a good time... Unless Rising says otherwise.

This is a sequel to Peace Walker and MGS3 pretty much, and that what I've been expecting it to be.

@Kauldron when I hear "open world" I think back to the previous Fox engine that showed a dense lush jungle and think about what kinds of awesome terrains we'll be seeing. Dense jungle, maybe fields with tall grass, typical military bases.

Also the fact that we can now drive vehicles seems awesome. I really want to see some footage though. The wait has gotten a lot worse now lol.

Just imagine a huge open area to explore. Tons of different ways to approach situations. Also I hope they further develope the MSF building part from Peace Walker. I want to see Big Boss recruit some cool characters (heck perhaps characters from previous MGS games that were a part of foxhound).

Yeah I guess that may have been somehow implied before, but I don't know I guess I was hoping for Old Snake goes on one last mission maybe? Old Snake finds a cure to his accelerated aging and goes on a new mission? I'd like that, but still I'm grateful for this new MGS.

Excellent theory. Would explain the "Ground Zeroes" title. But Kojima will probably make it a mindfuck that nobody would have guessed haha.

Obviously not posted yet but someone is hiding something, the people over at Gaf are saying there is definitely 2 timelines
And I'm not sure it could be my imagination but the picture hiding behind Big Boss with Snake writen on look like someone with white hair, could this be what one of the tweeters was on about when he said Old Snake is back?
