WHOAH, that was incredible looking !! Seems they removed the chopper extraction that was meant to happen at the end.
I might had to pick up the HD collection now to play Peace Walker, they were mentioning characters from that game which I don't know anything about.Trophy-licious!

Some beautiful FMV in that, but not a huge amount of engine graphics shown, and it wasn't anything better or worse than what we already have on the PS3.
The engine kicks in just after the "fox" badge twists and the words "From Fox two phantoms were born".
Hell of a lot of bump mapped specular, but it is rain I guess.
As for the story..I'll defer to TGO as to who Freddy Krueger is.
But it seems set in the late 70' early 80's with the walkman being shown.
Is that kid Snake?
Could I be right? Big Boss is trying to rescue/help his clone?Games are like woman, what you might find attractive I might not, and none of us know if we really like them untill we have played around with them for a while.

Naughty Dog does all their cutscenes "in engine" as well, but its still all prerendered FMV.
Sorry but their is a distinct downgrade in graphical fidelity between the FMV and the game itself.
Look at 7:12, where the screen flashes blue...from there on its realtime engine.

As much as I love the MGS series, I'm yet to understand the full story + the timeslines where and when everything takes place ... but couldn't that kid be Raiden? As a kid? Where people called him jack the ripper ? ... I dunno, but that was my first thought and they look the same-ish to me.

That gif of Big Boss taking of the goggles... Wow I'm really hyped. I want to see some gameplay though. I wish this game was coming out soon, but it's good to know that it's looking amazing.

I reckon he could be freeing Solid. Remember in Metal Gear 1 Big Boss was Solid's commanding Officer until he went rogue at the end.
Also, the reports that people thought the kid was Raiden were pretty ridiculous..kid looks nothing like Raiden.Trophy-licious!
