Whats the best shotgun?

I've started to recently dabble in the shotguns of MW3 and i can't work out what the best one is. I'm keen to say the trusty SPAS12 as i grew accustomed to it through MW2 but it seems to have a mind of its own. Sometimes it'll be a 1HK and sometimes it takes 2 or 3 direct shots to kill the person your shooting at.

Only other one i can see being worth while would be the striker but again, thats only cause i used it in MW2.

Currently using the Spas 12 with grip and the damage attribute along with Marathon Pro, Cold Blooded Pro and Dead Silence Pro. Any other shotguns i should check out?

My favorite is the Striker. The noise it makes really pisses people off when they are killed by it.

Yeah i've just got my striker in gold after playing for several hours with it. It is damn good, nice when you have a few guys running towards you, i killed 4 people in terminal in the plane with 2 shots The fact i can zip around the map quickly, whilst not appearing on the map and not making any footstep noise makes it fun for flanking people and surprising them!

Yeah, that is nice, and good work. For me, when I hear someone on the other team running around with a Striker taking me and others out, it pisses me off. The sound effect they put on that thing just gets under my skin and I have anxiety attacks. Eghad!

I use the striker silencer and grip, with extreme conditioning, Cold blooded, and Steady hand.

Its easy to just run around behind the other team and clear em all out, without anyone knowing you are there.

I didn't use the silencer with the striker. I liked the noise it made. On the right hands it spreads terror.

I think it's the USAS. I know what you mean about the mind of it's own type thing. I think that's just the nature of the beast with MW3 shotguns. Sometimes I'll ohk everybody and destroy people, the next time, it's 2-3 hits to kill. I got a hit marker on a guy in final stand from about 10 feet away with the USAS a while back, that about gave me a meltdown

i dont really use the shotgun.. only use the striker for fun.. didnt know i had so much fun using it its now lvl 30 :P striker with grip and damage.. and always use SoH with it

I love shotguns there so easy to kill with i can remember on mw2 the map rust i run around using the akimbo rangers and mw3 the map dome i kick ass using the USAS 12

Striker, or SPAS12

My personal favorite is the SPAS-12. The only shotgun I currently have maxed out and got the gold camo for.

I also liked the Olympia in Black Ops.
