it's not easy sometimes, to go back and try to get 100% again

But if like me, you have a excellent memory on where everything is and what needs done before you start. You have a fair chance

I think the rewards for the lost packages werent rewarding enough and didnt really motivate somebody to get them other than the 100% completion.

i could not agree more... When i leave the garage aka first hideout, i could go from there and get every hidden package and all the weapon locations and rampage's double locations and where the spot is beside Ammuntion where you can not get caught by the cops

IV with its pigeons was kinda boring lol.

Never was into collecting stuff so not sure what it was like in SA/III/VC.

As long as collecting has a good reward i would do it.

in GTA III, you would get a weapon for every TEN hidden package collected

    10...colt45

    20....uzi

    30.....Grenades

    40... shotgun

    50..... Molotov $#@!tails

    60..... Armour

    70.... Ak47

    80.....Sniper Rifle

    90.... M16 rifle

    100.....rocket launcher

For Gta Vice City, Again 100 hidden packages would get you the same thing

    10.....body armour

    20.... chainsaw

    30.... Colt Python

    40.... flame thrower

    50....psg-1 sniper

    60....Gattling gun

    70....rocket launcher

    80....sea sparrow helicopter

    90....rhino tank

    100... Military hunter helicopter

San Andreas Had $#@! loads of collective stuff

Their is 50 oysters to collect and you will get infinity breathing under water, for collecting all 50

their are 50 photo Ops in the game and getting all photos gets you

    All 50 photos:
Weapon pickups for the sniper rifle, shotgun rifle, grenades, and micro SMG spawn at Doherty garage. $100k bonus for taking all of them.

their is a tag task also in the game to and it gets you for all 100

    All 100 tags:
Weapon pickups for Tec9, AK47, sawed-off shotgun and molotovs spawn in the Ganton safehouse. Also, GSF homies' weapons are upgraded to SMG's and desert eagles.
NOTE: you can cover these prior to the "Tagging Up Turf" mission, but the 6 tags involved in that mission will revert to being uncovered when you activate it. This does not lead to side effects, and is perfectly safe.

their is also horseshoe collecting as well and collecting all 50 gets you

    All 50 horseshoes:
Weapon pickups for the combat shotgun, M4, Satchel Charges, and SMG spawn at the Four Dragons casino entrance. Also, maxes out the "Luck" stat supposedly used in gambling (I never noticed much difference with or without it). $100k bonus for finding all of them.

Now for Gta: V.C.S you have red balloons to pop and you will get these for every ten
    popped

    10....Pistol

    20....scorpin

    30...stubby shotgun

    40....molotov $#@!tail

    50....ak47

    60...body armour

    70... flame thrower

    80....equliser

    90...sniper rifle

    100... M249

Gta: L.C.S you have 100 hidden packages to find, just like GTA 3 and the same thing, for every ten you get

    10... Pistol

    20...shotgun

    30... Body armour

    40...mp5

    50,,,,python (,357)

    60...M4

    70...sniper rifle

    80... flame thrower

    90....rocket launcher

    100... $50,000 income

Now so you know, you collect $1,000 for every package you collect in GTA 3. So you can make an easy $100,000 for collecting all 100 hidden packages

Now in later games AKA Vice City, San Andreas, Vice City Stories and Liberty City Stories the reward you get in money for collecting each hidden package or doing a task

Is reduced because they made it slightly harder to make money, so instead of getting $1,000 for a hidden package, you are getting just between $100- $400 pair collection. So on average you are only making $50,000- $80,000 for getting all items hidden

Those weapons are all kinda useless as you can find them or just buy them in the store. Money wont be as problem as closer to the completion of the story you will gain a lot of income.

If they made the unlocks worthwhile for collecting I would do it. Make some hard to get but have a big payout. Have some that unlock guns you can't buy in game or are very expensive so collecting could be the better way to go.

Collecting those oysters in gta sa is fine and all but what use does unlimited breath underwater have? When was the last time you had to swim down to Atlantis and help out King Neptune on a mission? Never! Unlocking a pistol is useless. You get a pistol during one of the early missions anyway, they're the most basic cheapest gun and not a worthy unlock in my eyes.

Focus. Control. Conviction. Resolve. A true ace lacks none of these attributes. Nothing can deter you from the task at hand except your own fears. This is your sky.

Look agree that the unlockables were just ok with all the time going into collecting them and a low level reward

But i enjoyed the search for everything in all the GTA games. Because i got to know the cities inside out and found other ways to get away from the cops and do missions

Unique vehicles or bases would be a much more interesting rewards for the secret packages.
