I'm not familiar with the map but thought this was cool.

As someone who loved GTA2 back in the day, that was awesome. Parts of it I definitely recognized.

Yeah GTA2 was the first GTA I actually got into, GTA1 and London were one offs for me like Blacksite said.

I do recognize some of the places, actually. Haha. I think I'll add the video to the OP even though I stick to official Rockstar videos.

It shouldn't be long until Rockstar uploads the Anniversary trailer for San Andreas. The Android and iOS ports are said to be releasing sometime this month.

Just over nine years and we can play such an expansive game on tiny little phones; phones which don't have gaming as their primary function. Madness. I remember how insane it was when Liberty City Stories came out on the original PSP. Barely anybody could fathom how Rockstar managed to condense a fully-realised GTA onto handhelds.

Wow, that's cool. The graphics are just moderately less than that of Driver 1/2 on PS1. I think that would have been possible on PS1 hardware if they kept the cars and peds limited.

What is the anniversary trailer for San Andreas going to be like?

Well ladies and gentleman, I just found out how to get the casino heist mission in Las Venturas in GTA SA. After looking through various FAQS and asking in this thread 8 months ago without an answer, I found while watching a 100% Speedrun of SA on the Xbox here in the comments that Muscle is needed later on to learn moves in the gym and to acquire the keycard for casino heist mission in Las Venturas!! All I read was something about a keycard. Optional mission confirmed.

Final Fantasy IX is without question not only the best video game ever made, but the best entertainment created by mankind.

Just a shame we'll never see what they couldve done with the Vita.

Well, I added the Anniversary trailers for Grand Theft Auto III and Vice City to the OP a while ago. San Andreas' will probably be similar in length, cool and nostalgic with some memorable scenes. I wonder what song they'll use though.

WTH was with that soft GTA5 ending?

Also, I can't help but hate Trevor. Most overrated character by gamers ever. Or one of. IO think mostly due to the reason cos he's so "wacky". But man, everything about him felt forced, had a bit try hard to break the fourth wall (with the whole thing having a nuts/crazy character translating into violent gameplay etc). That also annoyed me.

Everyone else was fine. I actually liked Micheal's arc a lot better.

If I were to rank my favorite GTA games now, it'd go like this:

    1. Grand Theft Auto III
    2. GTA V
    3. Grand Theft Auto: Vice City
    4. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
    5. GTA IV

After playing GTA V, what GTA games would you say make your personal top five?

We'll probably see the Anniversary trailer for San Andreas when Rockstar releases the Android version. I had thought they would release it on the same day as the iOS port but that wasn't the case.

Footage of the game running on an iPad appears to be laggy. The visuals pretty much look like what you'd expect an updated version to look like except the character models are shiny (sunlight reflecting on their clothes) which is stupid, in my opinion. That effect is better suited for vehicles.

But yeah, I can't wait to see the Anniversary trailer.

I know I'm in the minority here but never got the fuss that surrounded Grand Theft Auto III. Maybe it's one of those games that I'd have to go back and play to appreciate it.

Maybe. I mean, most of it is nostalgia, but there's also the little details that set it apart from Vice City and San Andreas for me. The immersion factor is amplified by things like noise coming from within certain buildings and the subway underneath.

GTA V felt a lot like Grand Theft Auto III in that regard, as well as having more attention to detail, so it's second on my personal top 5. Of course it's also a lot of fun.

Can't say I ever noticed the noise from certain buildings or the subway but I do agree that's pretty neat.

I have to be honest and say that I never really found III to be all that fun and i wasn't blown away by the graphics even at the time. For me, it was Vice City that was the first GTA that sucked me right in. The clothes, the setting and of course the soundtrack just got me hooked. Admittedly I have always been a sucker for the 80's.

As you might all already know, I am a really hard-core Vice City fan and have completed it multiple times as well as watched and read all the material about it including links to other inspired by movies and all the plot contents. Vice City for me is still the best grand theft auto game due to its awesome setting, atmosphere, location, story, graphics and gameplay. Not so long time ago I have replayed vice city once again twice (fall 2013), completed the story without any cheats and collected all the hidden packages. It was a pain in the ass to tweak it properly in order to have a nice playing experience on a modern computer but in the end I was able to do so and even much more than just let the game run without any issues. I have improved the render distance, the field of view and fixed the widescreen issues as well as ran the game on my native resolution which is 2560x1440. Just because I love so much Vice City I decided to record a series of graphical showcases, showing the game running on 2560x1440 at 60 fps with enhanced rendering and field of view. Check it out as even though the game was released quiet a while ago it still looks gorgeous and gives the real feeling of the 80s.

Vice City is my favourite as well. The story, the setting, the music. It was the game, that made me like the 80's. lol

Well, damn, no San Andreas anniversary trailer this year. I was hoping it'd accompany the Android and iOS release much like Grand Theft Auto III and Vice City. :P

Replaying San Andreas on PS3, so awesome even now. GTA3 era GTA is some of the best games ever made IMO.

Well I've been doing the paramedic/firefighter etc. missions as I always like to get them outta the way as soon as possible (especially in GTA3 with the Mafia lol), and just done the mission with Ryder where you rob the old guy of his guns (Robbing Uncle Sam?) so yeah, not too far in.

You know, Aaron, I might not have given Vice City Stories enough credit. It's a good final entry to the 3D universe. Especially when you reach the Vice Point/Beach area which is more interesting. It's a shame about the framerate though.

Yeah VCS was amazing for PSP, I assume you're playing that version? The PS2 one probably has a better FPS but you probably won't wanna start over now lol
