Pachter thinks Activision will buy out Take-Two. I seriously doubt it'll happen but I would hate to see them annualize Grand Theft Auto.

If that happens it'll be even worse than when Square merged with Enix. Pray it doesn't happen.

Take-two would be way to smart to fall for that...

They make so much from the GTA series and red dead, max pyane etc etc...

It makes no sense at all

I'll wait for it to hit the US Store but even if it never does, the HK version is still NTSC so no difference really. My only worry is why is SA releasing before VC?

Likewise... But it goes with the fact if ERSB most likely rated it before vice city, therefore it will be out before it

Well, 'RockstarGames' finally uploaded The Introduction to their channel. It's not in HD, like the one in the OP, but the picture is larger.

Now the price of San Andreas is $15.00

When the PlayStation Store updated earlier today, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas came to the PS2 Classics section. Priced at $15, it rings in at $5 more than any other PS2 Classic (including GTA III) on the PSN.

As you can imagine, some people were upset about this, prompting Rockstar to respond via the PS Blog:

Hey guys, we hear the feedback on the pricing and would like to point out that the price point on PlayStation Store is consistent with digital versions of San Andreas everywhere. We hope those of you who pick it up enjoy heading back to Grove Street.

Taking a look at Xbox Live, the game costs 1200 MSP ($15), with the Steam version running you $14.99, meaning that they were being honest when they said it lined up with the other digital versions of the game. It is worth noting that the Xbox 360 download came out in 2008, with the PC one in January 2011, and both have seen sales that put it under $10.

Until the PS2 Classic sees a sale though, you’ll have to spend $15 from your wallet and 4.2GB from your hard drive to play San Andreas on your PS3.

Downloaded it the minute it hit the Store last night. The San Andreas addiction has returned to me from 8 years ago. I'd gladly put down another £30 as I did back then. It's easily in my top 10 games of all time.

Nice one, the price I a bit high. But for a game of historical connection

    It's worth it

Yeah 40+ hours is well worth the money IMO, better than paying $20 which is what SCEE are asking.

    Grand Theft Auto 6

If it will be in Vice City and will run on next generation consoles at 60 fps with great visuals it will probably be the best GTA ever created.

If you want great visuals, don't count on it running at 60 frames per second.

I am not talking about the game running smoothly without lag or anything like that but if you want a consistent 60 frames per second in a next-gen GTA title, Rockstar North would have to sacrifice some of the visual fidelity. Why do you think games like Call of Duty and WipEout HD run faster than the majority of other titles?

I do not think rockstar will go down that road just yet... But if they do with GTA V

I am happy with that... We all know that the images released so far and the footage, the main game will look a wee bit different. Even though all rockstar games use in game footage

I am not saying they won't, if they could, but they can't. It's simply not possible to marry the best visuals with the best open world experience with the best framerate (60 frames per second or higher). They are a very talented development studio but it's just as important to note the hardware their game would be running on.

Those screens are most definitely from the PC version. And I'm pretty sure it's in San Andreas since we saw Vinewood and Mount Chilliad.

I agree, hence skyrim suffered from frame rate loss and high visuals

But you could say it suffered both lol

If they rockstar do go down the road of frame rate over visuals or vice Versace, then no loss in anyway
