haha if that does mean kinect support, and not just there for trademark/copyright reasons thats gonna be pretty odd. Probably just going to be some mild use like scanning items and crap like in Halo

You're kinda right. It will sell a lot better on PS3 anyway.. it IS a Metal Gear game

Its because VA is in the standard Kinect SDK so its easy to put in and doesnt need to be coded or touched, its a copy and paste job.

I'm actually a little disappointed that this wasn't a PS3 exclusive. Not because I don't think other people should enjoy the experience but Hideo Kojima always struck me as the kind of guy that wants to develop games exclusively for the PlayStation brand. Platinum Games could have also made Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance an Xbox 360 exclusive. Just my opinion, of course.

Yeah they are rather inconsitant with exclusivity.. their games are all over the place MGS2 was on PS2 and Xbox, 3 was only on PS2, etc etc

Same here but that decision goes to Konami not Kojima, If anything he might use the PS3 as his console choice.

Well I suppose that Hideo wanted to grab audiences from all consoles, so he could broaden his horizons so to speak, and also make money from it.

They way I see it if it makes him money then they invest in better games and keep the money invested then I'm all for it.

Indeed. Konami, as a business, would have ensured Kojima titles are released on as many platforms as possible because of how well they usually sell

The original Metal Gears where on the Microsoft 8-bit computer.

As for multiplatform the only games I cant play on the Xbox360 is MGS4 and MGS.
MG, MG2, MGS2, MGS3 and PW are all multiplatform.
Games are like woman, what you might find attractive I might not, and none of us know if we really like them untill we have played around with them for a while.

It wasn't called MSX for nothing, Microsoft Japan invented the specs.
It wasnt open it was simply a standardized spec.

8-bit computers were an odd beast, I had an Amstrad, Europe was dominated b Commodore/Spectrum/Amstrad.

No idea what America did with computers, I guess the Apple II/Atari 800 XL?

I agree and disagree. 18 million Kinects sold is hardly a failure. How many Moves has Sony sold? But I do agree that voice command can be done with the microphone headset thats already boxed with the 360 but MS is touting it as a Kinect exclusive feature just to sell Kinect. Btw do you have a link for that info about MS paying off developers to not put voice commands in other consoles?

This is great news. I have been using Kinect voice features now in every game that supports it. Love it.

I am not surprised that it is not exclusive. Every game but MGS4 and MGS has been on Xbox now.

    WAT.
I'm not sure if I have ever heard MS tout the Kinect as peripheral for the 360s 'hardcore' audience.
If anything it was meant to expand the userbase outside of the core gaming consumers they already had.

on top of that I'm sure MS sees Kinect as a success and worth the continued support even if it seems haphazard at best for the people looking for 'hardcore' games.

When did Battalion become a launch title? It was just released this summer. BTW, it's controls are fucking solid.
