You know migrant labour is essential to nearly all economic models yeah ? Who cleans the toilets ? Who empties the trash, who runs convenience stores in the towns and cities that are open like 16 hours a day ? Who does most of the minimum wage jobs ? Migrant labour from poorer countries.
Also I'd wager a large amount of your doctors are immigrants and I'd suspect many executives on the boards of the biggest companies would be immigrants. Especially in the banking sector, I'd imagine you'd have brits, Germans, swiss, Japanese and Chinese people in important positions in these multinational corporations.
In fact the head of the richest company in the world, Apple, is an immigrant to the United States. Tim cook was born in England.

Not in their group yet, but I fear I may be if the profs choose for us. I'd rather not. All these retards were doing is constantly making a joke out of everything. And they were hungover too, they even admitted it. Who the fuck gets drunk a day before school with an 8 AM class? I don't need this shit on my plate, should I be a snitch?
Not exactly, I take Film and Television Production. Light and Image is the class I was talking about.

I hope you're kidding That would make sense if the federal govt actually funded our schools. 90+% of schhol funding I'd through the state and local level. Obama didn't ruin the school system through foodstamps lol. It has been a long time issue in this country, before Obama before Bush before Clinton etc.

This exactly. School is not about learning, its about keeping kids away from home, then after school activities are promoted to keep kids there longer.
And if you can't afford college, then you should not go. There are sooo many people that before the age of 25 already have 10k-100k in college debt with no way to pay it off./UPSET THE ESTABLISHED ORDER AND EVERYTHING BECOMES CHAOS\

I know people with 160k+ debt. I went to a private school on scholarships and ended up owing about 3k a semester that I paid for by working during school. Right now I got rent, car payments etc...I can't imagine piling debt payments on that. It's crazy. You figure a school that is 40k a year would scare off the idiots but year after year you have students enroll who take loans out for every penny. Even take a loan out so they can live off campus in a place that's 1400 a month...I just can't feel sorry for that kind of stupid.

a lot of people are told you going to make thing much when you get out so when ur 18 ur not thinking about debt when you get out.
I know I did I took as many free grants as I could qualify for when I finished I stilled owed 20k maybe a little more but when I graduated I already had the means to pay it back before interested kicked in.
Every part of after HS education they nickel and dime the shit outta you.

With education as life it comes down to the person. It america you have every opportunity to be whatever u want. The one word that I can say would be related to american education is complacent.

I should note that I got a tremendous educational experience at a state school. Hell, I completed my post-graduate clinical rotations at a world-renown ivy league medical school that was organized through a contract with a local state college. Therefore, I paid very little.
Emphasizing students only go to prestigious (costly) ivy league universities regardless of their financial situation (i.e. "eye deep in debt") is a poorly constructed and potential disastrous idea.

But why Migrant workers?
Would it be because your government pays non-working citizens enough in benefits that working for minimum wage simply doesn't make sense?
Migrant workers are only essential to socialist based economies where you're trying to constantly increase your tax base to pay for the excessive government bills. Vitually any economy can work just fine without migrant workers, in fact most countries have more unemployed citizens than they have low wage migrant workers, which is a clear indication that you could employ your own citizens for those same jobs and have no need for the immigrants.

Students don't have to only go to ivy leage schools, they can go to regular universities and CCs. However, the quality of education between an ivy league school and a regular college is like the width of the Grand Canyon.
Why's it a bad idea? You're saying if a student who comes out of high school and has a choice between Cornell and Florida State, it would be better if he picks Florida State? If he goes to Cornel, not only will he look better on the job market, but what he learns will be vastly different than what he would learn at FSU. Yes, he's going to pay more, but guess what? His resume is going to look excellent to employers. They'll hire him and most likely he'll have the debt paid off in 10-15 years.Awww! Little baby bunny! <3
