If we're to believe it, that video up there contains a series of screenshots from a cancelled sequel to (or reboot of) Crash Team Racing, Naughty Dog and SCE's 1999 kart racer set in the Crash Bandicoot universe.
As the story goes, Crash Team Racing 2010 was in development at High Impact Games, even getting so far as to enter its beta testing phase, until Activision shut down production for unknown reasons. The simplified UI design and somewhat minimalistic graphic style, along with High Impact's history as a mobile developer, seem to point to CTR2010 having been a PSP title, assuming it actually existed.
We've reached out to High Impact for a statement on its involvement either way.

I'm gonna go with reboot/sequel, because none of the tracks in the screenshots seemed similar enough to be remade CTR tracks.
Still, EEEEEEEEEK. CTR stands as one of my Top 10 favorite games ever. What could have been...

The original was my favorite kart game of all time and it is easily top 20 on my list. They should totally make another for the PS3 for next gen.

As soon as Naughty Dog was out of the picture I lost all interest in future Crash games.

Ah, CTR brings back so many memories. Heck, I even gave It a blast again recently! Good times. However whilst a GOOD sequel to this game would be amazeballs, I cannot help but think that it was good that it never saw the light of day. Whilst beta is beta, I still think this would of been horribly average. Oh crash... Had 4-5 good games (C1,2,Warped,Bash,CTR) then the buyout happened (Yes I know Bash wasn't developed by ND). We can only hope naughty dog can obtain the rights again :P
