Wonderbook: Book of Spells release date

Ready to slip on your wizard hat? Wonderbook: Book of Spells -- PlayStation's augmented reality Harry Potter tie-in -- arrives in U.S. stores November 13th. International dates have not been announced.

If you already have a PlayStation Move and PlayStation Eye, you can nab Wonderbook: Book of Spells (that's the game and the Wonderbook peripheral) for $40. If you need the Move, Eye, book and game, that bundle will set you back $80.

I'm thinking most people don't care about this, but thought to post it anyway since I'm a huge Harry Potter head and I may actually buy this just for fun.

Yeah unfortunately this will probably bomb pretty hard... typical Sony and their incredibly minimal advertising campaigns

Yes, I totally agree that they hardly advertise Move, Move games or even this peripheral.

I'm not sure it can be successful especially with Sony's weak advertising campaigns but there is a huge market for this potentially. Leap frog reading and games are huge with kids and anything that can assist children with learning/reading would imo be a great idea for extra revenue. This isn't for teenagers and adults but children 6-12 and parents wanting to get their kids to read this is a great transition IMO. I think they would do well with learning style games targeted at the leap frog age group. I want all Sony games and peripherals to be successful. It doesn't just get funneled into that game but profits get used to make other games too.

I removed some posts to clean up this thread. This topic is about Wonderbook and nothing else.

Yeah it's pretty much a game for either a kid or a HP head. I understand why there isn't much hype about this.

I don't think this will sell well, good idea but Sony has been known to have poor marketing and they can't seem to fix it even after firing people

Huge thanks to my awesome friend Finalreaper for the sig!!

They totally need to hire me to advertise stuff
I'd make an action packed trailer using footage from the different game's, whille the Never ending story theme play's.
Wonder book, you wonder why you dont have one.

Sony is the worst when it comes to advertising their products. Even their Labels (in music) are 100% shit. usually bands they sign get no effort from sony in terms of advertisment, commercializing, or any effort at all. I will be honest, when it comes to supportive advertisment, Sony is rock bottom crap.

If your getting this more power to you. This got way to much time at E3 and I'm not in the least interested in it.

Do I think it will bomb? No but I don't feel its gonna be a huge it as well.

yea, wonderbook looks pretty damn good for kids and it may do well for kids, but E3 kind of sucked because of this reason. Wonderbook got way to much airtime, I can see why it did, but this year was pretty underwhelming in terms of games for the PS3 as well as E3 being pretty crappy. not much going on this year. pretty dull

And now I totally understand why it got so much airtime, because that's all the advertisement it was getting at all before the release lol.
