Chrono Trigger. I've played it more than Cross. Cross by no means is bad. I was just sucked in more into Trigger.

Only asked about Cross as I seen that on the US store too and I kinda wish I bought that instead of Legend of Dragoon :/

I like Legend of Dragoon over Chrono Cross. Nothing bad with Cross but I thing LoD is the better game.
And Cross is just a very loosely sequel to Trigger.


By the way, apparently Chrono Trigger doesn't work on the vita. Can anyone confirm this?

For EU accounts yeah but NA is ok that update made your memory stick tie into your original account you mainly use do you can't switch off anymore. It sucks yea.

I picked up Chrono Trigger for the Nintendo DS a while back. It has some new areas, monster-battling arena, new ending and a more accurate, revised translation. I've played through it multiple times to attain all of the endings. I prefer Chrono Cross over it for reasons already discussed in the Final Fantasy thread.

One thing I have noticed with the older games like Chrono Trigger and FFV is sometimes it doesn't tell you where to go so your kinda lost

Yeah there is not much hand holding in games back then as there are now. I personally prefer it, but what can ya do besides going back and playing those games lol. And as I was looking over this thread, there is an overworld. But there's also a sort of hub world where you transport to the different times. And there is a ship called Epoch that you get later in the game that lets you time travel freely.

As for hand holding back then, guess it was just before my time lol i don't dislike the fact you have to explore more just to continue in the story but I realise I'm probably gonna need help lol
