Well that's nice theory, but its complete bullshit. There is no royalty for dual discs.

And they had no problem doing it for MGS:HD

In all honesty they probably have no source code for the game.

They didn't have the full code for SH2.

Really, this was cleared up within days of the first miss-communication, but it still does the rounds.

I have no idea how you guys continue to beleive these myths.

Hey and rage looked worse on 360?

I know, but it was still wrong. Carmack is a programmer not a business man, willets does the business side of the company, and he cleared this up pretty quick.

Microsoft has not and never has charged per disc royalties.

I'm sure I've discussed this with you before, but MGSCollection is top tier, up there with the best, but it was done by Bluepoint who has done GOW,ICO/Shadow etc
Konami should have just used them for Silent Hill too
As for games on disc, isn't MGSHD 22GB on the PS store?
Thou it does have DD & DTS I believe

It sucks they left Silent Hill 4 out of the HD collection. I loved that game.

And their reasoning was because they thought people only cared about SH2 and SH3..

I was under the impression that it simply cost the publisher more to go with more than one disc.
    How did you survive?
    Didn't. Got killed...

Correct, you have print and burn a 2nd disc, that's cost of manufacturing.

You cleared up the programming part where I asked if they left stuff out of the games and they didn't, but its still a poor Collection because they shouldve included a voucher for MGS1, its not a Collection without the greatest of the series.

No its didn't, but its was 324 x 100MB compressed achieves which was about 33gb
Something "some" tend to not mention
And I don't think Kojima wanted anything compressed, hence he said it was too big for 50gb BD
The game was big, but I suppose if they downgraded it, it could have fitted on a 25gb BD or 3 DVD9's
