I never had a Wii of my own so I'm curious if those games run well/normally. That way if I buy a WiiU I would like to have the new games but also not have the old ones run like crap (like some of the Xbox games on 360 do)

I only have one game so far, the SMB, and I freakin' love it. The game, and the hardware usage. Man... I wish this was the Wii to begin with. Can't wait for more first party games.

Bullshit it did! Everyone I know has had to wait between 60-90mins for the update to finish.

The tablets screen is no different than you have to stop the game to enter your inventory screen or view your map. If anything, it makes the games more accessible.

There isn't any evidence of the size of the update. It's all coming from stories that are changing the content of the original tweets lol. Don't rely on guesses from others. The guy you're linking about originally tweeted.... lol

The response from this has been so underwhelming...given with how the Wii's launch had so much more going for it, I'm kinda disappointed in the Wii U's launch so far...no one seems to care

Yeah, it's bland to an extent. Their online offering is meager to say the least. We'll see how it goes I guess. All I got it for is the first party games from the franchises I've loved for two decades. The newest Super Mario game on the Wii U is brilliant. It looks amazing, and the game play is about as close to Super Mario World as I've ever been. Love it.

Yeah, whatever lol. I don't take assumptions as facts. I took less than a half hour to download it... there are plenty of people in the comments section of these crabby tech blogs saying they downloaded it pretty quick. You have people complaining and not realizing that the servers were so populated at certain times, it takes longer to download stuff. Just like downloading a 500MB file on PSN, that takes an hour or longer to download. Does that mean the actual file size is larger? 3GB for me, on a maxed connection would take 25 mins. I bet this was around a 1.7 to 2.0GB file at most.

There's no evidence to the contrary of my statement about it not being a 5GB download. That was absurd for these enthusiasts to say to begin with. It was just ONE guy saying it anyways.
