Amazing how world can change so much in just one lifetime

    Between this...

    ...and this...

...there's only about 65 years difference.
It's truly amazing how humanity has advanced in technology and science so fast.

I prefer to focus on tech that effects our everyday life and quality of living like in regards how we communicate and how fast we can reach people. I mean 20 years ago cell phones weren't the normal no one text anyone. No mass internet access or email. Its crazy in Hs I had a beeper lol

They are just images... its actions that change the world from this to this

Life is confusing for a reason and that reason is us and us alone. We make the world we shape the world and we can kill the world... posting images that shaped history, makes no difference to the historic situations that will shap the future

Imagine the next 65 years. Or even the next 20. We probably won't live to see human colonization or anything spectacular that would see in a sci-fi flick, but there will be some good, crazy and bad things that will happen. I hope the cure for cancer is one of these good things that I get to see.

I'm very excited about nanotechnology and how much further 3D printing can go. There was a limited series called Discovery 2057 where Dr. Michio Kaku talks about a possible future where our organs are made through a 3D printer. No more waiting lists, but I'm sure the premiums are sky high.

    We didn't start the fire,
    it was always burning,
    since the world's been turning.
    We didn't start the fire,
    thought we didn't light it,
    we tried to fight it.

I love techonlogy and would love to know where we'd be if we put more money into research rather than fighting wars (yes i know some major advances have come from military research). It is however a shame its at the cost of other animals and nature itself.

I think the pinicle of technology will be free, clean energy. Ironman like, a cell than can power a car for months/years/forever.

Everyone is in the future will be Ironmen!

It will be in interesting 40 years from now when I'm 60 to look back at what tech we had today and what we have in the future.

It's not like you can play New Super Mario Bros on the Wii by clumsily waving the wiimote.
I'd like a more core experience.

You can play NSMB with the wiimote by pushing buttons not by waving the controller. I enjoyed the game with the wiimote as well. But it's not a motion game, hence not 60+ friendly.

Elderly often play motion games like wii sports etc. I want to be play core games e.g. DeusEx, Uncharted and CoD.

And given that technology increases at an exponential rate, the next 65 years will make the present look like the Stone Age.
