I disagree, I dont believe Evolution would be a good dev for the wipeout series. Not a big fan of the motorstorm series tho
Interesting.UPDATE 1: In the moments since publication MCV has been contacted by two sources who claim that Evolution is not the new WipEout developer. We will await an official confirmation.
UPDATE 2: Sony has responded with "no comment".

I didn't even know WipEout died.
Didn't WipEout have a Vita release?

So long as it is heavily influenced by the heads of Psygnosis I don't have a problem with this. The more WipEout the better!

If this is true, I might finally have reason to turn on my PS3. It's been disconnected for a like 6 months at this point.

The question is, where can WipEout go from here? I think the series perfected and peaked with the last Vita release.

I disliked the setting, and all this supposed destruction going on with the city seemed so canned and forced. I got no thrills out of it whatsoever.
I would even say I prefer the graphics of Pacific Rift over Apocalypse.
Anyway I can't say I rank the Motorstorm series very highly overall anyway. This is why I'm not a fan of Evolution studios.

Yeah as far as graphics and environment go Pacific Rift was the best one.

I agree, but I thought this thread was about WipEout :P
If evolution do pick up te franchise do they get all the tech and assets and ears of work that studio Liverpool have done? Or would they just pick up the name and have to reboot it?
(my knowledge on this kind of thing is limited)
