Got my first legendary weapon today, the Maggie, from that Irish guy.

Pretty epic gun, second time killing him ( first being the actual mission) i got the gun.

3 tries later got an improved one with quit a bit more damage and has a scope.

Yeah the Bowie Maggie rocks. Put together with the Bee and it's a hard to beat combo.

Def will be getting the GOTY edition. I thought about buying it tomorrow but I see they keep releasing stuff for it so save that money haha.

Yea, i think i saw that they have 4 big DLC installments planned, which are covered by the season pass. But there was a hint somewhere that other, non covered content may be released too. The Mech character being one of them.

Personally i am very glad i got this day 1, there is a massive background trading/farming scene which i am loving, and i just cant see it being the same if i had waited for GOTY. But £$ wise, GOTY will be serious bang for buck, you can count on that!

I spent what seemed like two hours yesterday farming Doc Mercy for the Infinity Pistol, nothing!!
So frustrating, I've only had 3 Orange drops, The Bee (I have 2) and a awful Shotgun from the Slot Machines.

imo, the Infinity is not worth the time. Sure, unlimited ammo and no reloads is great, but the recoil makes it quite unreliable. I'd much rather have an Unkempt Harold or Maggie anyday - ecspecially paired with The Bee.

I beat the story finally and I regret clicking on Vault Hunter mode when I started the game. Sure, the loot is so much better than my first playthrough, but the enemies are cheap and the worst pain in the ass is that I have to start all over from the beginning. I really don't wann do everything over again because I was so close to the trophy for all side missions before I got to the last boss fight of the game. Weak. Do I at least get to face Donkey Mong? I wanna get that trophy badly.

You can switch back to Normal mode at anytime, just go Select Character -> Your Character -> Normal Mode. You can go back to TVHM by following the same process.

Also with Donkey Mong, I tend to find him quite regularly in the "bullmong holes" near Ore Chasm.

It's in Eridium Blight near the area you find the entrance to Hero's pass and the entrance to the Hyperion Arena with the robot that wants to be a human.

Managed to find a pic showing the exact location, but Nick's description is spot on.



The best way to get Donkey Mong to appear is enter Ore Chasm (the area near the yellow "!" on the map I posted), then exit so you're back at Eridium Blight. Run to the area where Donkey Mong appears and if he's not there, Save & Quit, Continue and repeat until he shows.

Play the whole game again in true vault hunter mode, with tougher enemies, better loot and also new type of enemies :P

I personally love trying to get the best loot, that is enough of an incentive to play the game.
I just hate going through the whole story again, that is a drag.

Yep, you keep everything - items, level, badass rank, skill points etc.

Has anyone got a good guide for getting the best guns, shields and mods? I have watched videos but everyone is level 50, I am level 41 and followed a video to get the hell fire. The monster does not spawn for me.

Have you done the Cult Of the Firehawk mission line? He is involved in one of those missions and you likely need to complete it for him to show.

Play-through 2 is when enemies are higher level, but they are still capped at a certain level regardless of you level.

When you complete the game again on play-through 2 you get to unlock play-through 2.5, which is basically when all bosses are level 50-52, meaning the weapons are all this level too.

not really not till you finish playthrough 2

Struggling to get through one play. It's not really drawing me in like the original.
Got a random legendary sniper rifle though that kicks ass.

Best to wait till you get to level 50 or PT 2.5.

But my weapons suck balls, so i had to farm to get better weapons, which should make farming worth it at lower levels.

Just realised they made the bee shield a lot crapper , over 7 for delay...

Less damage or shield capacity is one thing, but the delay is killer!

I disagree with nerfing items in a game that is not really competitive ( as in player v player)
