I would prefer GTA Vice City over Liberty City. Why dont they release both at the same time?

Yeah you are right, thats probably the main reason. Btw are these PS3 GTA versions improved graphically or just optimized to run on the PS3?

They're just PS2 Classics.

I'll be buying them all even though I own the discs since it's easier to just boot them from the XMB (plus the DS3 analogue sticks are so much better than the DS2 sticks).

Who knows though they might run a little smoother running off the HDD rather than disc.

I think I'll pass. It's nice of them to finally release it as a PS2 Classic but I've been playing the game on the PC with an Xbox graphics conversion mod for a while now and it's great. No auto-aim though but I've gotten used to it.

They messed up Claude's face in the Xbox version IMO, I prefer the original PC look tbh. Haven't played it for ages though.

San Andreas looks pretty much the same on all platforms, I remember playing the PC version for the first time on max settings and it barely looks better than the PS2 version.

Yeah, I don't like Claude's face in the Xbox version but I guess it's fine since you don't see it much, apart from the cutscenes.

The PC version of San Andreas has some better road textures and a greater draw distance. They implemented real-time shadows as well for the character models and environment but they look weird on the latter so I disabled them.

Also, the frames tend to skip when you're driving vehicles so I have to enable the Frame Limiter which locks the game at 30 FPS. Same thing with GTA III. I think it's because they weren't developed with the PC in mind.

Buy it off the US Store - NTSC and cheaper.
