Bear in mind that engines such as Unreal Engine 4 do not work on contemporary consoles, while PC hardware can easily churn out those pixels in ultra-high details

Probably 10x the Wii U aswell (we don't know much about wii u though)
Basically you need $1500+ PC to match that performance now

Consoles can have GPU tech that isn't on the market. Its basically guaranteed that holiday 2013 is the start of next gen

The info in that first screen is mind blowing! If true, it means AMD will make a HUGE step forward with the 8000 series and i can only imagine what the 89xx series will be able to do. Of course, in next gen consoles we will see an 8850/8870 based video card but considering those numbers, they will be MONSTERS!

Even 200TFlops is stretching it when thinking programmable flops.

I want to know what next-gen means for us. I mean - is it going to look like a maxed out BF3 on PC? Or will it surpass it (I hope it)?

A few devs such as Naughty Dog and Epic make high end character models(and I assume everything else) and then the engine works it magic to lower the quality to fit within the specs of the ps3/360. So with all this extra power(if true), does that mean we can ps3/360 exclusives beefed up for next gen? Basically what hd remakes are this gen but only better.

I don't want to see some mind blowing shit and then have to play my ps3 and see every single flaw with the titles. I'd hate to have to go on next gen black out for at least a year smh.*cries*

The games will have to be remade. You can't put the same game in and get better visuals. Sony knows that HD classics = easy moeny so we may see exclusives getting the HD HD remakes (720p to 1080p).

Also, those high end character models are really not for games. They are pretty wasteful with computing power. You can't even tell the difference during gameplay. They are for the still shots and cg cutscenes
