Bad news regarding GTA V? :(

Me is the sad.

During the Take 2 investor meeting held today, Dan Emerson talked about the company’s outlook citing Borderlands 2 as being well received as well as mentioning the soon to be released 2K Sports NBA 2K 13. There’s more positive outlook with XCOM Enemy Unknown releasing on October 9th. Emerson also talked about a delay in key titles (Bioshock Infinite perhaps?) which has meant projections were down, although online distribution sales were up and accounted for 13% of the company’s revenue for the period.

Sadly, GTA V was mentioned (Rockstar releasing screenshots and development is coming along), but of the key games talked about, it was the only one where a release date was not attached which suggests the game is likely not coming out this side of March 31st 2013 when the financial year ends. Some have speculated a May 2013 release period which is more likely.

Take 2 plan to have a stream of the meeting available later today.

Honestly wasn't expecting it till late 2013, which worries me considering I expect next consoles to be announced around then

They should just make it a PS4 launch title and Sony should make a PS2 style exclusitivity deal with Rockstar.

I seriously doubt this being a one console only exclusive deal.

It was strange but Microsoft was the first ever to show the GTA V Trailer #1 on their console, to this day I'm unaware of it ever airing on the PS3...

Only a few days after the trailer was streamed from R*'s site did I see it on the Xbox 360 and to me that says something...

I said Sony SHOULD do it not that they WILL do it. lol But I could see MS doing something even if its like the timed DLC thing they did with the last GTA.

Yeah I hear ya, but I do not think Sony can, I think MS has secured this title one way or another on their platform(s).

Thats a shame, well hopefully other good games will be released and keep me entertained and occupated until GTA V comes out.

Gutted but expected, my most anticipated game by a mile.

Sure IV was not like by many, but i still though it was one of the better games this gen.

R* just add this quality that i don't see in many other games.

Not bothered at all. There's quite a few titles I'm buying in the first 6 months of next year.

Yeah, first quarter alone I'll be getting God of War, Sly Cooper and hopefully the Yakuza Collection, should tide me over nicely.

im hoping for a winter release but now im thinking it's summer cuz when all the kids are out of school they'll get more sales i guess. still i want a winter release cuz i dont do anything outside during the winter!!
