I think the joke was just inappropriate, like degrading the subject of the video.
But then again it could just have hit on my nerves too much because this whole thing is pretty important for me.

Well, i'm sorry. I usually make jokes like this all the time, however, i didn't know you cared so much for it. I guess it's my fault for not catching the hint. You did make a thread about it.

My dad is a great father and overall a very good man, but I remember a couple times as a kid when my dad was drunk and those were not too nice memories. When I'll have children I most likely will hit the bar a few times a month, but I will not get drunk in front of my kids.

Its an ad about drinking? lol. At first I got the impression the parents were abusing / molesting them by the look of their characters.
For a responsible drinking ad I think it is poorly done.

I like both ads presented so far. I think they're both effective in their own way. The first shows more how the child views the situation emotionally, while the latter displays how you're likely to pass on the behavior since you're a role model. I guess I like the first more, because it's the one I relate to. I was so afraid of my drunk parents as a child, it's haunted me my entire life. I've been to numerous parties, social functions, etc, and I've never touched alcohol. Sure, I'm only 18, but it's been forced in my face plenty of times, and I always refuse. It's funny that these ads were brought up right after Papo & Yo was released. Excellent game on the relationship with an addicted parent. Helpful and lovable one second, and then an unfamiliar, frightening monster the second.

Meh, I thought that was kind of lame. I think the shock factor in the first one really worked, for me at least. If you've ever seen your parents drunk as a kid you could kinda relate to the video, it's scary as hell to see the person you love the most act completely different. The part where the dude was strapping the kid to his seat struck me the most.

Christmas 1988 my dad came home form his office party absolutely steaming, had puke down his shirt and stuff, he looked like my dad but was not sounding or acting like my dad, it was actually scary.
