PSN account custom avatars

Do anyone of you think it would be a good idea if we could have custom account avatars on your PSN accounts like we can on this website

They should I've always wanted to have my own custom avy. I doubt sony will let us. The least they could do if they want to make money is to sell a "Custom Avatar" that'll let you use your own. Have the system know you used it once already and if you want another buy another for .49

Would be great, but yeah like Kuro said they won't allow it cause it would be a loss for them as people would much rather make their own than pay for one.

It might make a good PS+ feature... but very hard to moderate

Your all thinking the same as me we all want it but we no we not going to get it shame i just think it be more personal to have it. Now i no some people will try to put naked pictures of people and other picture that kids shouldn't see i been putting comments on other websites hopefully people of SONY will see it . in the psn store buying avatars is ok i bought over 50 avatars there like £0.20p i no what ur thinking but i would pay like £1.00 to upload a picture for my avatar if we can't have it for the ps3 then maybe we could have it for the ps4 coz the psn should be upgraded for a new console. PLEASE SONY let us have custom avatars PLEASE

Well if you want a custom avatar, you can do but its really complicated and you have to set up networking or something like that. its a program that links your ps3 and computer I think...eh..nvm I dunno what im talking about.

back to the subject here. Yes I'd love it if they did that. but if not, im ok with having the ones i bought.

This would be an interesting feature. So would the ability to change you display name, but keeping your PSN name the same.

SONY have said this won't happen for legal reasons. I think they used the example of someone using a Nike symbol and they'd be too much suing

for it to work... i think it would HAVE to be limited to PS+ since moderation of inappropriate content could be tedious... i would effing LOVE to have custom avys... actually what they could do, is team up with an actual Video Game Avatar website, that moderates inappropriate content.. something like:

and just be able to link any of the avys there to your PSN...
Do it sony... do it.
