PS3 Super Slim commercial (Sony back at it again with the strange ads)

Nah these ones at least make some sense, those crying doll ones were......unique. These ads could be interesting if they do other games incorporating the sliding cover in some way, so there is a common motif to them.

Nice ad. I always wonder if Sony were doing really good ads and we just never understood them. We call them weird but maybe there's some inside joke and we're just like WtF was that ad about!

The only vita commericals I've seen in the US been a MLB the show showing the crossplay with the ps3 and a taco bell promotion...they are slacking with the marketing here in the states

wtf?...why would sony make a another new ps3? my ps3 slim (first model) gets super hot to the touch! im pretty sure its the power supply and the crappy CPU compound paste work..oh and the fact that there no room for air flow (unlike the fat ps3 had tons of air flow)..i bought my ps3 slim almost 2 years ago, thank god i bought the 2 year warranty at radioshack so im going to do the swap and get a brand new system....how can sony make a smaller ps3 when they keep having heat problems with the slim ones they have now???

They had so much style to them and it didn't feel like a generic game console commercial. David Lynch is fucking weird, but it works and SONY were damn smart to hire him. They must have watched Eraserhead and Mullholand Drive.

My Slim doesn't get hotter than the previous console. Should technically be less since power consumption is less. Could be various reasons why yours gets very hot.

As long as they make the power consumption less, they can reduce the size without much risk.

Exactly a good advert has the consumer talking about it, a good advert makes a consumer pay attention and look into it more.

Sony's commercials are the best.

I really don't get the hate. They're always entertaining. I loved the dark themed PS3 commercials at launch. Maybe they're not the best at appealing to a broad audience but for us core gamers they were pretty epic.

They were pretty misleading. Especially when talking about the Cell processor and comparing the PS3 to a PC. I really hope Sony just focuses on showing us the games with the PS4 because that's really all that matters in the end.

Sounds like yours came from a bad batch at the time. My slim certainly doesn't heat up as much as yours seems to. I'd cool my jets if I were you and snag the current Slim While they're still around.

Sony delivered more exclusive games than the competition in the end. So yeah, that's all that matters and they came through with flying colors.

I don't mind when they step out of the box and do something different.

Yeah, I can say the 120GB PS3 Slim was a definite improvement over the 60GB launch model. Not very loud and it only gets warm during long gaming sessions.

I remember in one of the launch videos on their website, specifically talking about the Cell processor, that it could do millions of calculations per second while the PC could only do a single task. Anyone who owns a PC knows that was false.
