Can you eat while seeing something nasty? How much can you take before you lose your appetite?

1. Grab you some food.
2. Eat some of the food.
3. Halfway through the food and still chewing, clear your mind and ready your imagination.
4. Still chewing, imagine:

I lose my apetite in less than a second.

It takes quite a lot to put me off food. Visual things on a TV or thoughts in my mind wouldn't bother me. Someone taking a shit in the corner of the room would bother me enough to stop eating though. I suppose a violent smell could put me off my food.

e.g. I doubt I'd be tempted to eat a subway at a shooting of a 2girls1cup clip.

Or if somebody eats the same food as me and throws up on the table, the smell and the visual of chewed food will most likely turn me to beer.

this really depends. talking about something disgusting isn't really a big deal unless it's downright revolting. but looking at something like Ed Gein Crime scene photos will definitely do it. the photos are in black & white, they aren't colored but that doesn't matter. I mean, when you look at the lady hanging in the shed like a deer and gutted, you don't need color photos for that. :/

I have a pretty weak stomach... So for me it wouldn't take much. Imagining a sandwich of roaches wasn't bad but the more I think of it an visualise crunching sounds its gross, but wouldn't put me off my meal. Gore or actual bad smells will

I'm a really fussy eater, always have been. what puts me off more than anything, is anything gritty in my food. for some reason if I bite into something and feel any grit between my teeth, an involuntary reaction makes me want to bring everything back up. can't say as I'm overly fussy about eating while watching/seeing something though, unless it's slugs or snails or anything like that.

I once watched an episode of anatomy for beginners and felt hungry half way through, just as they were slicing a dead body up.

my head kept telling me "it's a dead body, why the fuck am I feeling this hungry???", but my heart told me "imagine that slab a meat marinated on a barbeque."

meh, usually a person can still eat until they see and smell a dead body, after that you lose your hunger even if you stuff like you did on Anatomy.

for instance, people always wonder what a dead body smells like yet others shy away from telling the truth which to me is pretty lame. more like rotten cheese, mixed with Ammonia and rotten fish that has been sitting out in 90degree heat for a couple of weeks, then you look at the body and notice a mucus type substance dripping oozing out of the body. yep, after I seen that I lose my appetite. so you smell that smell and see the body with all the fluids, you wont even want to touch jello again.

after that, everytime you see a picture of a body you will just lose your appetite. very few don't, but A LOT do.

you can also close to that smell if you go hunting and shoot a deer. if you pop the stomach when you are gutting the deer, that foul smell hits you and I've seen people puke right after that smell hit their nose.

Nah. One time I was browsing reddit's r/wtf while I was eating. It wasn't till I scrolled half-way down a maggot infested gory imagefest that I realized how desensitized I was.
