Sony reveals Yakuza 5 and Fist of the North Star themed PS3 bundles for Japan

We've all come to realize over the years that Japan gets all the awesome console models. Remember that amazing blue PS2 they got? How about the red Wii console? Colors aside, Sony has topped this with Yakuza 5 and Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage 2 themed bundles for their new PS3 slim. Of course, with the PS3 not being region-locked, you could always hand over a crazy amount of money to import one of these little guys.

Each bundle will include a specially designed super slim PS3 (250GB), along with the game in question. The Yakuza package will also include a beach towerl and an 8GB flash drive, while the Fist of the North Star package will include a costume code and a smartphone case. (Is it too much to ask for a Fist of the North Star flash drive?) Both bundles are slated to launch in December, when the games are release. The designs are really awesome (I really like the Fist of the North Star model), but are they great enough to import one? That, dear readers, is a decision only you can make.

lol as if this game wasn't going to boost PS3 enough. Massive holiday sales in Japan for Sony for sure.

I prefer the Yakuza 3 design though.

Same here. That white PS3 with Kazuma's dragon tattoo is simply beautiful!.

I firmly believe that if Sony of America had the same limited edition consoles as, Japan, they would have sold a lot more units in the west. Right now I would have two PS3's, my original Phat PS3 and the Yakuza 3 themed one.

Other countries get the special edition PS3's. I got the FF13-2 Lightning edition PS3 here in Korea. Pretty cheap as well.

I agree. Sony gives the middle finger to the US and then wonders why Americans go buy a 360 instead. Plus MS puts out special edition 360s from time to time. This is the type of thing that makes me not want to support Sony as much as I would otherwise.

They sell more here anyways wtf sony! Your pushing your ps3 fan base towards your direct comp!
