Ok I want to retract a little on my original post. I was playing the Chris campaign which is more like that Raccoon City game that came out. If you play as Leon, the game is totally awesome! It has zombies and is very creepy. Why couldn't the entire game be based off Leon? His campaign kicks so much ass!!!!!

The game is great and the different pacing works imo, Leon is dealing with the outbreak in a small town
Chris has been sent in to deal a bio enhanced soldiers who have defects, and large monsters
Btw this is what I meant by playing it in the proper order...... kinda if you want the story to fit together

Sadly not, the reason its broken up is becuz of co-op, Leons last chapter is the last chapter too, if you compete Jakes you'll be scratching ya head thinkin, is that it?
You'll get it once you played them all and realise theres a order, and some things will flow better story wise when you play them in that order

I'm really enjoying Resident Evil 6 but like i said before i'm easily pleased. It's just a game.

This isn't the glory days of RE on the PS1 but the game is still fun and it's still Resident Evil at heart.

I'm glad I kept my pre-order. I usually don't care much for reviews, I like to make my own opinions. The reception has been very mixed, I haven't seen uproar like this since D3 or maybe ME3 even.

Playing Leon's campaign and I'm having a blast. I can agree however in that the entire game probably should have taken this route. Regardless, I enjoyed the demo so I'm sure I'll like the other campaigns.

It may take a few failures to create a big success. Maybe Capcom will find success with the RE2 remake, if it ever happens.

I think all developers have have these problems. They try something new and try to shake things up and it usually doesn't turn out right.(Resident evil 5)Then they have there fans complaining about going back to there roots and they didn't do good with these last game and they spent a year or 2 on a new style game and probably forget about what made them great. Then you start questioning yourself and try to make another game but everything you do after that makes you nervous due to the failure of the last game. I couldn't imagine what these guys go through everyday making a game.

Problem with this is that they lost their focus, after finishing Leons campaign, theres nothing satisfying about it. I felt like they also tried to take bits off from other games and tried to incorporate it into their own.

I experienced this in Leon's portion of the demo, by the way.

You walk around, shoot some zombies and trigger a couple alarms, kind of like Left 4 Dead. I didn't find it scary and the only reason I went through my ammo so quickly was because it took longer to drop the zombies.

How does that scream old-school Resident Evil to anyone?

when i saw a stream with zombie paratroopers in chris campaign last night i almost took a dump on the spot. hopefully this turd will drop so quick in price because of most likely alot of cancelled preorders so i can just pick it up to see how bad it is in its full length glory. The demo was garbage even leons part has some odd stuff going on. At the train level some of the zombies just teleported in front of you :S

Im having decent fun on it aside from not knowing there was a glitch that causes your game not to save if you leave normal and join a friend playing on a different difficulty.

Made it pretty far into Leon's chapters with a friend just to find out that my game wasn't saving any of it.

No problem. I just do not understand why Capcom would stray away from what made RE4 and RE5 so amazing.

I haven't played RE6 but it seemed clear what Capcom was trying to do. Traditional survival horror doesn't sell nearly as well as TPS over-the-shoulder and CoD-style shooters so after what they did with RE5 to follow up RE4 (and the RE5 becoming the highest selling RE), they likely have no intention on going completely back to the old days of RE. And the three different campaigns of RE6 suggest that Capcom IS listening to fans but made a compromise by having a horror campaign, a Gears/CoD campaign, and a mixed campaign (if my sources are right).

RE6 seems like an experiment of sorts that's gauging the core audience; testing how much "action-shooter" it will tolerate in the wake of this "return to roots" outcry. I suspect RE7 will be based primarily on the most well-received campaign from RE6.

i gave up to the hype and that it carries the resident evil title and bought it from some guy who hasnt opened it yet. Still 47$ which i doubt this game deserves lol but i simply have to play this monstrosity and judge it myself . It has been just nagging me too much and i still enjoy the RE story, even though its probably not going to be much more than introducing some new characters and make em confront each other as it progresses.

I really love the Resident Evil series, but after what I read from both gamers and critics, I will be skipping this game. I won't even play it for Leon's route. It's very frustrating that a main numbered Resident Evil can turn out so mediocre.

i knew this game was gonna suck. havent shelled out any money for anything having to do with resident evil since RE4, which i thought totally sucked as well. Thanks for the heads up, was actually considering this title, now im not. ill save my money for something else. maybe ill get a pizza instead....
