It seems like a majority of the Saints Row fanbase didn't like the game. Putting aside the usual complaints of the mission structure being more linear and that there wasn't as much attitude in the game as its predecessor, Saints Row: The Third still ended up being a very fun open world experience. I'm wondering if anyone else felt the same.
The game had a free weekend/66-percent off deal a while back on Steam which is why I even bothered to try it out. And yes, I realize there are giant purple dildos and silly outfits in the game but I have yet to take advantage of that stuff. My only real complaint is that once you buy all of the upgrades, the challenges become too easy, specifically the Survival diversions.

I thought it was decent, but once I finished the story I haven't played it again since... Unlike SR2 where even after finishing all the missions I put in an extra 10 hours of just fun antics.
I understand why you liked it though coz its a solid game. Did you ever play 2?

SR3 was my first SR game and I have enjoyed it a lot. I was never a big fan of any GTA but yet SR3 is so much fun. I think it is because I find the controls so much better, and smoother, than the GTA series.

I've never heard of anyone saying they've yet to take advantage of a giant purple dildo - kudos.
Currently downloading it on my Steam account to try out since you're recommending it. Got it during that last sale but not played yet.

I was disappointed with the game.
I would even say it is my most disappointed game in the last 3 years that I brought.
It just felt cheap and crap, compared to SR2 is was a massive step back.
I disliked the whole style they went for and the DLC style was even more annoying.

I enjoyed the game to be honest I really didn't have any high expectations for it.

Never played SR1 and 2, but I played SR3 during that free weekend and enjoyed it. I'm contemplating if I should play SR2 first, or not. I'm not a fan of these kind of games on PC so I plan to get the "full package" edition on my platform of choice (PS3) when its released.

I've been playing Saints Row since the first one, I don't see how many people could think SR3 isn't as good or better than the ones previous in the series.
SR3 is a much smarter game especially writing wise.

I really enjoyed the game, had some DLC also but it lacks some polish, that's not saying it was not good looking but I guess I'm just anticipating GTA V and it may be clouding my judgement.

The game lost me when they killed of Johnny within the first 5mins.....I couldn't play it after that. Gat was a huge part of what made the game so damn funny. His character just added so much to the universe....then they go and Kill him off..that really just pissed me off.
Thank You Shaq...For Everything

Forgot to mention the radio stations. The Mix FM is the only one I really like.
Probably makes me weird but whatever... >.>Last edited by Blacksite; 10-14-2012 at 01:35.
