Not really, if you wipe out all of 360s Japan sales it'd still be about 300K above PS3 WW.

Although having a few Mil lead is way better than a few hundred K.

Indeed. But Xbox is lucky to have NA to have such a lead. PS3 is lucky to have Japan as well.

Seriously though why would they need 360's over there. Almost all of the games they enjoy and play can be done on the PS3/Wii. Few people are going to buy 3 consoles so which two would you own? Those companies always show love to them with limited editions and exclusive support. The content in games, movies, features, and limited edition accessories and the likes why would they be interested in a 360. I would imagine a great majority of the 1.5 million xboxs are probably due to westerners living and working in Japan. IDK...thats just a guess.

67.2 Million = Xbox 360 "Earnings Release FY12 Q3"
63.9 Million = Playstation 3 "PlayStation®3 Worldwide Hardware Unit Sales (Unit: million)"

3.3 million difference.

I would say within the next 2 years...the SS ps3 can rush that closing of the gap.
