Get a free game on Origin

First off I just want to say that I hope this isn't against the rules, and if it is then I apologize and a mod can delete the thread if they want. I wouldn't be posting this if this wasn't a real EA Origin offer. Unfortunately this is only for the United States, which sucks. It seems that the promo code is region locked.

So anyways, I got an email from EA Origin that told me to fill out a survey and I would get a $20 coupon code. I get the code and I was able to get Dragon Age, a $19.99 game, for free with the code. Then I go on some other websites and find out that this code is the same for everybody, whether you did the survey or not. So a lot of people are getting free $20 games from Origin because of it. Then a lot of people found they were able to use the code over and over again! I even saw people saying that they got up to 8 games with the code. I of course tried to do it again but it wouldn't let me use it twice, that was until I tried it on a different browser and to my surprise it worked for me again. So I ended up getting Dragon Age 2 for free as well. However, after that I couldn't get it to work again, so I decided to just make a 2nd account and I was able to get Bulletstorm for free on that account, however so far I have only been able to use it once no matter what browser I'm using.

So basically I got Dragon Age, Dragon Age 2, and Bulletstorm for free tonight. I might make a few other accounts just because there are few other games I want like Dead Space 2 and Batman Arkham City. There are a decent amount of really good games for $20 or less that you can choose from, so I thought I would let you guys on here know so you can use the code and get yourself a free game or two. I hope it works for everyone.

Thanks, I'm just trying to spread the word and let people know about it. Unfortunately I've seen on other sites that some people are having trouble with it, so I'm not sure how much longer the code will work. If it still works for anybody on here then let me know. I really wish this was on Steam and not Origin since I'm mainly a Steam user, but I'm not going to complain since it's a free game.

I hope you can get it to work. I read of some people outside of America getting it to work so I hope you can too. It seems like more and more people are having trouble with the code though, so I think maybe EA might be stopping the promotion since so many people are using it. Still I've seen a lot of people saying that it still works for them, so you should try using it as soon as possible if you're interested.

it doesn't work for UK but you can use a Proxy program called Hotspot Shield

I'm glad you were able to get something! If there is something else you want you can try to log in using a different browser, that worked for me and many others. I'm the same though, I rarely use origin. I only have it because I had Star Wars: The Old Republic. There are some really good games available though, I couldn't pass that up!

I tried to use it to grab Sim City 4 Deluxe but it said Payment Details declined .but tbh being the Bad Pirate that I am those games are only a newsgroup download away but I never rarely play PC games anyways

As far as I know it's only pc games. They do however have a few games on there that you are able to buy a console version of, so maybe give that a try and see if it works.

I followed this tut on NeoGaf

"1) Use a new incognito/private window.
2) Add the game you want to get to your cart.
3) Apply the code. If the cost of the game isn't reduced to 0, then the code doesn't work with that game.
4) Click checkout.
5) At the screen where it asks for new account info, LOGIN at the top of the screen.
6) At this point, if you're asked for your CC info, you can't use the code for that game."

I'm glad you were able to get something! It makes me really happy that some of you guys in the UK are able to find a way to use the code, I hated that it was only US only.

Edit: Also thanks for the instructions Bravo. It took me a few tries to find a game that would work while using incognito, but I was finally able to get Shift 2. I'm going to try it on a few more games but that brings me up to 5 free games, so I'm pretty happy.

Yeah it's going extremely slow for me as well, but I'm still able to use it. I've been able to get a few more games using Bravo's method that he mentioned earlier, but it doesn't work on everything. Also I have two accounts and sometimes the code works on a game for one account but not the other one, so that's weird.

How did you do it? I went to the Origin and put Need For Speed Hot Pursuit (2010) game in my cart. The game is $19.99 plus $2.50 for shipping, but the coupon code didn't work for me. Do I need to buy something else? I only ask because even the e-mail said it had to be $19.99 or up.
