FFx hd still coming

Not really news but a lot people thought ffx was in trouble.

If there was one announcement that was more exciting than any other emerging from Tokyo Game Show in 2011, it was the revelation that Final Fantasy X would be getting the HD treatment, and would be coming exclusively to PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.

But ever since its reveal (in which we only saw a logo), we’ve heard pretty much nothing about it apart from a couple of passing comments that Final Fantasy X HD wasn’t a remake, but a remaster.

Thankfully, we now have more news, though it’s basically just a reaffirmation that the game hasn’t been abandoned, which has been the recent speculation concerning the PS3/Vita crossplay game. Jeremy Parish of our sister site 1UP notes that when he went to TGS and spoke to an unnamed Square Enix employee, he was told that the game “is still in the works.”

This should come as at least mild reassurance that Square Enix didn’t get ahead of itself with its 2011 TGS announcement, and that gamers will be playing Final Fantasy X HD on their PlayStation 3s and PlayStation Vitas eventually, though likely later as opposed to sooner.

the only two things i look forward to in gaming now a days: FF VERSUS XIII and FF X HD. I'd also like a XII HD remake but right now thats all the gaming i'd need for the whole year...if its ever released

Apparently they started Kingdom Hearts HD first..they just announced them in the wrong order.

They've still got Final Fantasy XI going strong. Easily the pinnacle of MMORPGs.

And Final Fantasy X HD better still be coming! I'm so looking forward to it.

Rather sad that Final Fantasy Versus and X HD are the only Square Enix games (that are developed by them, not just published) I want.. and yet theres no info about them. :/

ill believe it when i see it on the store shelves. until then im not gonna hold my breath. Ive been gaming so little lately i probably wont even get it right away if it does release, although wintertime is almost here and thats when i do the majority of my gaming as its geting colder outside.

I've been playing FFX on a fairly consistent basis ever since it was released. Once the HD remaster was announced, I stopped playing and have been holding off until it was done. So it's been a year now. I can't believe I've gone that long without playing it. lol

so what's the deal with square enix that they can just barely finish their games? it's really starting to become old. makes me lose any amount of hype that I had for any game, SE has actually managed to make me lose all interest in their "future games". one thing I've noticed was that any game that is exclusive to PS3 is sure taking a long fucking time for them to release it, yet their multiplat games seem to come out in a better timely fashion. screw this company, bunch of dumbasses over there.

I use to beat that game and then start over and do it again. I sold my ps2 so i didn't get to play it anymore so that's why i'm happy to hear this.

They didn't do much new content to that one.

If rumors are true they did change the whole graphics engine side of things for FFX. (They will keep gameplay identical.)
This means every asset needs updating or rather redoing with proper thought on emotion and lighting of scenes as well.

Got rid of my PS2 because I had a 60GB.....guess which game got stuck in there when it went YLOD on me last year? FFX....I've been dying for an HD FFX for my new ps3..but god damn square

I've been playing through all my favorite Final Fantasies with my girlfriend, and the only one left is FFX. Tired of waiting though. I'll probably break down and hook the PS2 up to the PlayStation 3D Monitor. The refresh rate makes even older games look nice.
