    Depends

If I want to play with team in mind, I'll do BF. If I want to murder a bunch of stupid people just because, I'll play COD. But I guess I'll prefer COD more because shooting people and hearing them cry makes my day.

BF3 easy, takes real skill to play it properly.

COD is pretty much run and shoot, that's about it.

I like both Call of Duty and Battlefield. I play CoD more.

There's nothing wrong with not picking a side.

If you don't pick a side, you're obviously inferior. (Just kidding) I like battlefield's recoil, graphics, and realism better. I hate the large, sniper infested, tedious maps though. I prefer cod due to the fast paced, blood pumping, gameplay. I hate the spawns though. It's really subjective but as said above, you don't have to choose a side.

I enjoy both but play COD more.

I prefer the faster pace of COD, 60fps and rounds are faster in COD (which I prefer). Killstreaks never get old for me.

BF3 has it's Pro's also, it looks beautiful, has a sense of more realism than any COD ever & the vehicles/planes!

Battlefield, mainly because I like blowing stuff up.

Real time destruction is my favorite thing about all games that support it.
Almost everyone will say: buy console that has games that you want, and those who say otherwise are ignorant.

    Playstation Move for the win!

    Battlefield all the way.

Also, this thread needs a poll.

Personally i like Battlefield a lot more cause it has more weapons and vehicles. Its also much more fun to play, you have to use different strategies while in cod you just run and shoot.

BF, by a long way. Many different ways to play, so many weapons (surely double the amount in most COD games?), mostly good maps, class system, opportunities for teamwork and unlike BC2, the gunplay is tight.

Loved COD4, it was amazing. But they took the series in the wrong direction, can't stand what it is now.

Both have problems though, neither developer seems to give a shit about their respective spawn systems. But at least in BF you can chose which area of the map you'll be shot in the back in.

I prefer BF3 over COD, but i still don't think BF3 is all that good.

Now, if you include games like bad company 1 and Battlefield 2, then BF by 1000 miles.

Basically this for me as well. Both are great games but i usually play MW3 more simply because it's quicker. I wouldn't call either game realistic but one is more suited for fast quick matches whereas the other one is geared towards teamwork.

There are days when i just want to play on my own and some days where i want to use the headset and get some teamwork on.

I don't like the whole killstreaks in COD rewarding a player doing well by giving them more easier ways to do better just doesn't seem right to me.
    • I don't like the class system, its too much like hard work for me, BF3 classes make more sense even though there are issues
    • COD probbaly suits my playing style better but its not as much fun playing with friends as BF3 is and by tht I mean using voice chats
    • The maps in COD are made better I never get stuck on steps or tiny pebbles unliek BF3 and bad company 2.
    • I hate the fact that it was P2P only for a few versions which was a step back.

    BF3 I dont like
    • HUD - far too much crap on screen even in hardcore
    • Blue - everything has a blue tint
    • getting stuck - Always gettign stuck on tiny things
    • netcode - getting killed when in cover, rockets passing through choppers etc
    • Lens flare - Human my eyes are not cameras
    • Flash lights - blinding no matter the time of day or night
    • Too many weapons - Someone is always going to cry "nerf this" or "that is OP"
    • Classes - We have to manually select each and every equipment if we want a change, no custom slots

The BF3 Close quarters DLC is good for rampaging like in COD its fast paced small maps that last maybe 15-20 mins maximum and a good way of gettign kill per death up if you care abou that sort of thing.

I prefer Quake Live to both but nobody plays that anymore.

Can someone do something about the title its doing me nut in

I like both but it really depends on the mood I'm in. I will definitely get black ops II but both games don't deserve a pre-order regardless of the bribes either company pulls.

There was already a COD vs BF3 thread with a poll, and regardless of COD's popularity BF3 beat COD on it by far, it was a sticky thread here.

I haven't played Battlefield, but I've seen it before. The graphics look great, better than call of duty. but call of duty looks like its more fast, and fun. Plus on cod you can make custom classes. can you make custom classes on battlefield.

I would say BF doesn't have the horrible connection issues that COD does because of the P2P networking but the last 3 or 4 days I've tried to play BF3 at prime time the lag has been outstandingly bad. Could however be my ISP. Wouldn't put it past Virgin to throttle 10mbps down to less needed to play a game online.

I'm pretty sure Virgin do that to me. I'm supposedly on 50mbps but half the time I am around 25 on a speed checker. I also have a lot of issues with them in general. Their service stops working in my area at least once a week for a substantial amount of time.

Battlefield for me, squad based shooting. Better game modes than Team Deathmatch and CTF, (Rush, Conquest).
Big ass levels with vehicles, all kinds of vehicles. Oh and 64 players on PC. For me that is more up my alley, than the run and gun shooting of COD.
Hard work never killed nobody but I ain't taking any chances

I don't see enough difference to matter much. I would pick "Battlefield: Bad Company 2", though - at least it was fun.
