I was thinking the exact same thing! I think once PS4 is out they should just open up the PS3 to anyone so any developer could make a game for it similar to the Ouya and see where it takes them!

How are people calling this "game over" for PS3 or Sony?

360 was hacked pretty much on day one. Wii in the first year. Why does this change the scene so drastically?

If anything, we'll probably see a spike in PS3 sales.

potentially Less in software which is where the money is made, they sell 10 million consoles but sell 100millions of games.

There's still a lot more people that don't pirate than there are that do pirate. PC gaming survives.

You know what the best counter to piracy is? Making a good product. If a customer doesn't feel like he's getting fucked by the developer or the publisher, he'll spend the money.

At this late into the gen software sales will be dropping off anyway.

TBH if I download a game or movie and really enjoy it then I buy it afterwards, I know most probably don't though.

This is one of the reasons why I "lol" at attempts to stop hackers.

So ROGERO has released a stable No Brick version of his 4.21CFW now ,lol I haven't even touched my CFW PS3 for ages so im gonna wait to see if KMEAW gets back into the Game & releases a CFW.

Are there any good Homebrews out their for PS3, that add good feature to PS3 (like custom music in all games?)
that's worth potentially bricking your PS3 for?

90% of what I've found are back-up mangers ((AKA Pirating, it's the truth) and boring emulators.

There hasn't been enough "room" for those kinds of things yet. This should be able to spread it out. It was like the PSP. The ability you mentioned didn't come until a full blown custom firmware was installed on the PSP. The PS3 will get there. As far as the back-up managers go... sure, some people use it for just downloading games and playing them. Others use it to have ALL their games on the HDD without the need to swap discs.

I wouldn't suggest using it right now. The good "news" is that on cfw, a nice little feature to use will be that you can play every single PS3 game on your Vita.

im still on KMEAWs 3.55 even DUPLEX has said to stay on 3.55 for now.

Other than no PSN access I'd call it hacked as of what, a year and a half now? In contrast I don't think they ever got the 360 to run unsigned code, and the Wiii...well at least Nintendo was making money on the consoles themselves
