To be fair the original wasn't funny either and 2 was a comedy remake with Bruce returning

The Evil Dead is the only one I've watched so I'm not expecting any humor in this remake. I don't remember there being any scary scenes set during the daytime though, apart from the early morning at the very end. Still, it looks pretty good.
