Just want to give everyones attention on this, the last screen i posted with the man on the quad i found a little info check the backround. the water tower in the quad pic is Dos Cabezas water tower, which is in San diego. That could confirm San Diego...

Nice find. It is supposed to be Southern California, from what I've read before. That means it would include Los Santos and San Fierro from the state of San Andreas but not Las Venturas since its real-life counterpart, Las Vegas, is based in the state of Nevada.

But since Nevada also borders California, it could be like GTA IV where Alderney (New Jersey) borders Liberty City (New York City). Really depends on the size of the map. I just don't think it'll be too large, personally.

Well then i guess i will have to wait for GTA VI. GTA V will be based on SA cities as you can tell that just by watching the trailer.

The trailer only showed Los Santos and its surrounding countryside. The question is how much they'll bring over from the previous iteration of San Andreas for GTA V - if it's really just Southern California or all three major cities.

i do not see all three. I see them making it a lot bigger,

I mean the scale is massive in comparison to what they achieved in the PS2 version

If you look at it from that point of view, it was scaled to the characters and space on disc at the time. Were is the disc space is a lot bigger and it can be truly scaled the the true size now

Nope, outisde of Kojima, no one has announced any more titles outside of July 2013.

Expect a Xmas 2013 release for something.

I wouldnt be surprised if games like Crysis 3, Splinter Cell, Dragon Age 3, Rainbow 6 Patriots all have Nex gen verisons as well.

I hope you are right. The ps3 came out in time for your holidays. We had to wait until March next year.

But still "way too early" to discuss it, as Take-Two confirms GTA 5 won't ship until at least April.

Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has suggested that Rockstar has "a lot of interesting stuff" planned for Grand Theft Auto 5's DLC, but that it is "way too early" to begin discussing it.

Responding to a question regarding the potential for GTA 5's 'digital content' during Take-Two's investor call last night, Zelnick said that it was "way too early to discuss those plans, and of course those discussions will come from Rockstar in the normal course".

He continued: "I think you can safely assume that Rockstar, as the label that led the charge in downloadable content with Grand Theft Auto 4, I think you'd have every reason to believe, purely because of the ground-breaking nature of the title itself and the multiplayer in the title, that there's going to be a lot of interesting stuff. But I'll leave that to Rockstar to announce."

More information on GTA 5 will be revealed next week, although that likely won't include any of Rockstar's ongoing DLC plans.

In the same conference call, Take-Two also confirmed that GTA 5 would not be launching until at least April 2013.

The game, which was announced for release during 'spring 2013' earlier this week, "is now a fiscal year 14 [title]", the company's chief financial officer Lainie Goldstein confirmed. "We've announced that it's during spring 2013 release time period, and not in this fiscal year."

Zelnick further confirmed GTA 5's FY 2014 release date, saying: "As a result, we continue to expect to deliver revenue growth and non-GAAP profits for fiscal year 2013 even without a major new release of Grand Theft Auto, and we're positioned to generate substantial revenue and earnings growth in fiscal 2014."

He added that the game was Take-Two's most eagerly anticipated release "without question".

Take-Two's FY 14 begins on April 1, 2013, and ends March 31, 2014. Combined with the prior knowledge that GTA 5 will release during spring, expect to see the game ship during April, May or June 2013.

But why hasn't Take-Two announced a specific release date for GTA 5? Zelnick explains:

"With regard to the date for Grand Theft Auto 5, spring 2013, we make those announcements based on what we think is best to market the title, and we think that's the right way to describe it, and we're thrilled with the way that is shaping up."

I'm pretty sure there will be a full addition later on, maybe a year or sooner after the initial release of the game. I just hope they don't make it barebones on release and expect the DLC to take care of the rest.

I love this generation. Seems like the games are just the appetizer course for the DLC and the developers are more excited about those residual sales than they are making a full experience in a game. /bitch and moan

Also GTA V is on the cover of Game Informer for December. It's going to be one hell of a month or so now.
