You realise that what I've posted on the previous page are kind like press packs. They were sent out to all the retailers in the US, Gamestop, Target etc and it's their employee's that appear to have leaked them.

If it's all fake, well, kudos on the people who conned the internet :P But I'm thinking these are real. Rockstar won't make an announcement about sending some pre-order stuff to retailers.

In terms of an official thread, I think it's a bit early considering we've only got one trailer. We can keep this going as a news and info thread for the next few weeks up until the Game Informer stuff hits. And then when we have another trailer, more official artwork, screens etc, we can all contribute to am awesome official thread!

We announced our new cover back on October 11, and today we can share with you the release schedule for our December issue featuring Grand Theft Auto V.

In the morning of November 8, we will reveal the cover art and give you a break down of the issue (hint: the story is huge - over 18 pages in print - and full of details and screens we can't wait to share). Then, in the afternoon (US Central time) we will release the digital edition of Game Informer to iPad, 10-inch Android devices, and PC/Mac. Print issues will already be in the mail and should arrive to subscribers in the weeks that follow. Print newsstand is November 16.

Game Informer Digital subscribers have access to all three digital editions, or you can purchase the individual issues on iPad or Android for $4.99 (or subscribe directly to those devices through the appropriate storefront for $19.99). Game Informer Digital is available worldwide if you have the appropriate credit card and email information.
The tablet app itself is free for iPad and Android and you can check it out now (including a free copy of the Gears of War: Judgment issue).

Digital subs can be purchased directly online through us (via GameStop) or by visiting a GameStop store location, but it can take up to 48 hours to process (we know it's dumb and are working on it). Fresh details on Grand Theft Auto V have surfaced online, supposedly hailing from the latest issue of Game Informer.

Posted by GameFAQs, the info remains unconfirmed at present, so take everything with a pinch of salt until we receive word as to whether they’re the real deal or not.

Check out the info below.

-The main character is a half-american, half-puerto rican chap named Albert DeSilva.
-DeSilva is 42-years-old and has two children by his ex-wife.
-Breaking Bad seems to have had influence on the storyline, as DeSilva is drawn to a life of crime from an older age in pursuit of riches.
-Players also control Dougie Vejo, an up-and-coming criminal in Los Santos.
-GTA V’s centrepiece is Los Santos, with smaller towns rounding out the surrounding countryside.
-Grove Street returns, though Carl and Sweet won’t feature.
-Players can once again invest in properties.
-Character customization is limited to clothes/hair/facial hair – gyms and tattoos are out.
-GTA V may feature one or more returning faces from the previous game.
-Players can again customize cars.
-The band Lovefist makes a return, now known as the Jezzies.
-Tracks confirmed to be in the game include ‘My Michelle’ by Guns ‘N Roses, ‘Magic Power’ by Triumph, ‘California Dreaming’ by The Beach Boys and ‘Beautiful’ by Snoop Dogg ft. Pharrell.
-Mini-games include golf, tennis and surfing.
-The mission played by GI for their preview was based on the scene in the trailer where a jewellery store was robbed.

Also, it should be obvious that any characters from the PS2 games won't appear in GTA V. Rockstar mentioned before that they were done with the GTA III era. The exception being bands like Love Fist since they were also featured in GTA IV.

I've read one or two articles where the writers keep bringing it up.
