I can't say this with certainty, but... With All the other GTAs, when you "die" you are hospitalised and you respawn in outside the nearest hospital. Asuming this is the same, I would think you hospitalise the other protagonists when you kill them (making them unselectable for an amount of time). Originally Posted by YoungMullah88

Glad they have finally improved the siren lights, look so much better!
The improved lighting and colours seems to have made quite a big difference!!

Really good comparisons.
Whether you believe these pics are in game or not is up to you, but from previous examples( SA, IV, RDR, MP3 and LA Noire) Rockstar have pretty much always used in game pics.
