via Player Attack.What is Uncharted: Fight for Fortune? Has the Australian Classification Board let another cat out of the bag? The title popped up as a recently classified title, published by Sony and coming to multiple platforms.
Unfortunately, at this stage, there isn't much that we actually know about Fight for Fortune. We can see that it's not being developed by Naughty Dog, which sets it apart from the other Uncharted releases (except the Vita release Golden Abyss, created by Sony Bend).
We're going to assume that "multi platform" most likely means "PS3 and Vita", if not exclusively one or the other, covering bases for the future (Golden Abyss was listed as multi platform despite being a Vita exclusive).
A small amount of violence is not unusual for the franchise, and drug use can be as minor as someone popping an aspirin for a headache, so again, no alarm bells ringing.
The really strange thing? That big green G on the page. The equivalent of an E for Everyone tag, it's not a rating commonly associated with Nathan Drake and friends.
Fight for Fortune mentions One Loop Games as "author" (or developer), which isn't a name we're familiar with. The studio has been working on mobile games including adaptations of the God of War series, Ratchet & Clank, and James Bond. They've also dipped their toes in the social/casual gaming markets, and have worked on "several AAA titles" including Star Wars Episode III, Full Spectrum Warrior and The Saboteur.
Currently, One Loop Games is working on a couple of super-secret titles, one of which is "unlike nothing you've ever seen before", kept tightly under wraps by an unnamed publisher.
The Uncharted franchise spreads beyond Drake's Fortune, Among Thieves, Drake's Deception and Golden Abyss. There was also Drake's Trail, an online webgame and Eye of Indra a four-part adventure series, as well as several books. Regardless of what Fight for Fortune actually is (Gaming experience may change online), it'll be welcomed as yet another layer of this rich universe.
We have contacted Sony for further information.
An Uncharted-themed kart racer? I don't really know. Haha.
