YahooA 2-year-old boy visiting the Pittsburgh zoo was killed Sunday morning when he fell off a railing that his mother had put him on top of to view a pack of African painted dogs, who pounced on the child and mauled him, police said.
It was not clear whether the boy died from the fall into the wild dog exhibit area or from the attack, said Barbara Baker, president and CEO of the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium.
"It was very horrific," said Lt. Kevin Kraus of the Pittsburgh police, who added that the dogs attacked "immediately" after the boy fell at about 11:45 a.m. Zoo officials at first estimated the boy fell 14 feet, but police said it was 11. It was not clear which is correct.
This is really depressing poor kid. Retarted ass mother!
Man this shit is messed up..

I feel awful for that mother. She had to watch her child get eaten by dogs. She now has to live with this nightmare forever. I know I would probably go home and kill myself.

This is gonna sound mean but with a mother that's that stupid i think the child is better off. I still wish it didn't happen though.

Man if I was her husband, I would beat the ever living shit out of her for doing that.
"When I was 12, I milked my eel into a pot of turtle stew. I flogged the one-eyed snake, I skinned my sausage. I made the bald man cry into the turtle stew, which I believe my sister ate. At least I hope she did."

I saw this (I work for an injury lawyer and this happened to turn up in my searches)
Worst part is the prelim reports are saying the child actually bled out as cause of death.
Stupid, sorry mother. Feel so bad for her yet so angry as well.

Fuck that, it's the mothers fault in the first place. Hold the child and let the kid see the dogs from you're arms
I have no heart to say sorry to hear and how awful it is. Bad bad parenting all round and yes poor kid, poor kid for having a dumb mother like that

No matter what race you are or what you look like or your sexuality or where you come from, We are all the same people and we are all bothers & sisters so love each other & don't let anyone tell you any different.
Remember you can't choose what you are from birth but you can choose what you want to become.
Just because you haven't seen them doesn't mean they are not there we all got to have something to believe in.

Having a small child myself, I would have jumped in, without question.

I take back my other post, it was way over the line
I feel sorry for the parent and what the kid went through.
It was completely evil of me to state that other post

If she jumped in there would be a new story of a dead mother and child.
What the mother did was clearly not the best decision. I would like to see the railing the child was placed on, because there might be a little more to what happened.
I am a father of 6, and if my 2yr old fell in to a bit of ravage dogs........I honestly think I would have immediately jumped. The mother could have been too late as it would seriously take seconds for those dogs to kill that child. I am even feeling disgusted typing these words as I am getting mental pictures of what happened..

If the mother would jump to get her child she would probably get killed as well.

It doesn't matter if she would have got herself killed to. At least she would've tried. I would have did it ESPECIALLY if it was my fault.
