Such graphics for an open-world MMORPG are extremely impressive!
Absolutely EPIC new video explaining how the current game ends to give rise for "A Realm Reborn".

Looks pretty good, even for it being an alpha in the video. Some work obviously, but overall, definitely very nice.

I really, really want this game to turn out good, because I need a new MMORPG and I like what I'm hearing about this one (now that it's being revamped).
Shut up and play games

For an alpha version that does look very good. Also like the peaceful town music, haha.

The way how the character runs, reminds me of FFXII.

It does look good. Cleaner visuals than most games, actually.

Never played a MMO before, so if someone who has played them before can they explain what you do and why you pay a monthly fee or micro transactions? You also hear about people getting addicted to them. I am very interested in this game.

Looks good but considering its in alpha version and probably running on a computer beast not really that impressive. In the beta version of the game they will have to lower the graphics details in order it to run decently on PS3 and on PCs. It also seems very complicated as all Final Fantasy games were and still are.

I will tell you right now that if you need a highend GPU for this game, it's going to flop. MMORPG's are not mainly about graphics and so far from what I am seeing they are just going to show off the graphics. if it ends up missing key fundamental points as well as skills in this game, it's going to bomb and SE will lose even more money.

You won't. One of the first things they've said about 2.0 is that it'll run better one the same specs than 1.0 did, which I played on my old laptop on moderate settings.I will tell you right now that if you need a highend GPU for this game"Faith - that's another word for ignorance isn't it?" -House

MMO's are different from regular online games in that thousands of players are able to log in and play together on the same server in a persistent world. Meaning things can change even when you are offline.
So naturally the costs for servers will be high. This is why there is a subscription. Some devs like to charge for micro-transactions in order to give players the core game for free, and if you want to buy certain things with real world money, like weapons, that option is available to you.__________

PCs are very much like Air Conditioners.
They both become utterly useless once you start to open up Windows....

Liked the new vid, and overall I think this entire overhaul of XIV shows that they are dedicated to making XIV successful and a worthy successor to XI. Got to give them credit, after the shit that was 1.0, they went back to square one and I think from what I've seen is shaping up to be something really cool.
